The left-behind woman in Bishan turned into an expert grower and led the villagers to the road of getting rich.
In the eyes of most people, "facing the loess and facing the sky, turning around the children's stove" is a typical portrayal of women left behind in rural areas.
But in Guangpu Town, Bishan District, there is such a left-behind woman who has changed people's traditional view with her own work. She has not only become an expert in farming, but also led the villagers to the road of getting rich.
"avoid deep ploughing and weeding, for it is easy to hurt the roots and spread the disease." On November 9, when the author saw the left-behind woman Zeng Yonghui in Jinlong Village, Guangpu Town, Bishan District, he was checking the knowledge of vegetable cultivation through his mobile phone.
Left-behind women become expert growers.
In fact, in the 1990s, Zeng Yonghui went with her husband to Guangzhou, Wuhan and other places to work. But as the child grew up, Zeng Yonghui went home to take care of the child in 2014, making her a left-behind woman.
Early last year, when Zeng Yonghui was watching TV, she learned about policies to support migrant workers returning home, which inspired her to have a career in her hometown.
"the idea that there is no action can only be regret." Zeng Yonghui said she began to consult relevant policies and applied for an interest-free loan of 150000 yuan.
In March last year, Zeng Yonghui used the 150000 yuan to transfer 140 mu of land and began to grow flowers, seedlings, vegetables and grain.
However, with no planting experience, she had no way to start at first. "it's all right. I'll just hold my phone and check the information." Zeng Yonghui said that in order to learn various planting techniques as soon as possible, she became "Phubber."
In order to improve Zeng Yonghui's scientific planting level, agricultural technicians in Guangpu Town also went to Zeng Yonghui's planting land many times to guide planting techniques. Zeng Yonghui always recorded and studied carefully.
Tseng Yonghui often takes a 3-4-hour break every day for a planting technique and consults all kinds of data to conduct experiments.
Today, Zeng Yonghui has a thorough grasp of planting techniques, whether it is vegetables, grain, or growing flowers and seedlings.
But she is still inseparable from the mobile phone, she told the author, to do a line of excellence, must continue to learn, in order to master more knowledge, to be successful.
Lead the villagers on the road to prosperity
At the end of last year, Zeng Yonghui sold rapeseed, rice, sorghum and other agricultural products and earned 160000 yuan.
But Zeng Yonghui not only did not save the money, but also borrowed money from relatives and friends, increased investment, expanded the scale of flower seedlings to more than 130000 plants, and began to learn breeding techniques.
Seeing the benefits brought by Zeng Yonghui's practical work, at present, under the leadership of Zeng Yonghui, there are seven left-behind women in Jinlong Village, some raising pigs, some raising chickens, some planting fruit trees, growing vegetables, and so on. Zeng Yonghui not only provides farming and planting skills, but also helps them break through and expand sales channels.
In March this year, Zeng Ping, a woman left behind in the village, led by Zeng Yonghui, invested more than 20,000 yuan to raise chickens and geese.
At first, Zeng Ping didn't know what breed to raise. It all depended on Zeng Yonghui's online access to information, and finally helped her to determine the breeding of wild geese.
In September this year, the geese that had been raised in flat began to come out of the pen. Zeng Yonghui also went to various agricultural wholesale markets and restaurants in Bishan to help Zeng Ping find a market. Because they use free-range breeding geese and chickens, without adding feed, the meat quality and taste have won a good reputation. In just one month, 300 geese and 100 chickens were sold.
With an income of nearly 80,000 yuan, Zeng Ping's first thought was to thank Zeng Yonghui.
But Zeng Yonghui said that they are all from the same village and are all left-behind women, so it is right for sisters to help each other and take care of each other.
Processing to increase the added value of agricultural products
This year, Zeng Yonghui was elected vice president of the Women's Federation of Jinlong Village, Guangpu Town, and she is ready to take her sisters to a big fight.
With the help of the Guangpu town government and the support of the Women's Federation, Zeng Yonghui built a large warehouse of 150 square meters.
"I'm going to store the grain and build a brewery and an oil press." Zeng Yonghui said that the added value of turning sorghum into wine and rapeseed into oil will be increased several times.
"A person who is rich is not rich, but he who drives everyone to become rich is rich." Zeng Yonghui revealed to the author her idea that not only did she buy all the grain grown by other villagers, but the villagers could also buy shares in breweries and oil crushing plants to mobilize everyone to get rich.
