Last Updated: 2024/09/16, The average income of poor households in Changsha County has increased by 5000 yuan.

"in the past, we lived a hard life on a few mu of thin farmland, but now the money has come in, the project has landed, and we have a head for raising chickens." The 200 feather chickens raised by Li Jinxiu, a villager in Putang Village, Jinjing Town, sold out, with a net income of more than 10,000 yuan. About to take off the "poor hat", Li Jinxiu tasted the benefits. Energetic, she took the initiative to find a team member stationed in the village to help the team members, to follow the capable person to raise black pigs.

Choose the right project and the capable person will take you on the road. Eighteen poor households in Putang Village are expected to get rid of poverty by the end of this year. Here to the north of Pingjiang County, a total of 77 poor households with archives and cards, is the first battlefield for poverty alleviation. Since the arrival of the village-based support team, people who have become rich and capable have "cooperated" with poor households to seek development, and have become rich through ecological cultivation and entrepreneurship, driving the average household income to increase by more than 5000 yuan.

Take the "pulse" of quasi-industrial poverty alleviation

A year ago, Putang Village was an inconspicuous poor mountain village. More than 2/3 of it was mountainous. There was no industry in the village, and the villagers had no skills. Young people went out to work and the old stayed at home.

The change stems from the new ways of industrial poverty alleviation. At the beginning of 2016, the village-based support team was stationed to recognize poverty, school poverty, and get rid of poverty, sounding the trumpet of poverty alleviation. According to the actual situation of more mountains and less land, the task force aims at the road of industrial poverty alleviation, introduces industries with good market prospects and strong driving ability, such as the cultivation of improved varieties of fruit trees and green-shell laying hens, and uses ecological cultivation to increase villagers' income and become rich.

Chestnut and yellow peaches are planted all over the mountains, green-shell laying hens are sent to farmers free of charge, and villagers build fence houses out of their own pockets. Industrial poverty alleviation "draws running water", projects blossom one after another, and the entrepreneurial tide in the village is rising one wave after another. Since the beginning of this year, in the form of awards and subsidies, the village task force has provided 5000 young chickens free of charge to poor families in two batches, and the planting area of improved varieties of Castanea henryi and yellow peaches in the village is nearly 500mu. A number of large growers and farmers came to the fore, driving more than 150 farmers to participate.

Open up the "square" of group development

Yang Manlin, 30, has a disabled left foot and cannot do heavy physical work. With all his strength, he bought chicken seedlings out of his own pocket and was the first professional chicken farmer in the village. Due to lack of experience and lack of skills, the survival rate of 200 chicken seedlings is less than 5%. Watching the 4,000 yuan from Dongju Xituo go down the drain, Yang Manlin is as anxious as an ant on a hot pot.

Jin Junmin, a rich and capable man in the village, is a "veteran" of hatching chicks in his prime and experience. Control temperature and humidity, timely ventilation and disinfection, add food to the chicken vaccine, Jin Jun and the people are unambiguous. Diligent and eager to learn, he also went to Jiangxi and other places to "learn from" and "learned from teachers" from agricultural experts through the Internet. The survival rate of farmed chicken seedlings remained stable at more than 92 percent all the year round.

Poor households are enthusiastic and energetic, but they are short of funds and skills, so they are at risk by playing singles and are often thankless. People who become rich can understand technology, be good at management, know how to operate, and have a wide range of ways to get rich. "Chicken farming cannot be done without skills. The first 45 days is a sensitive period with a high mortality rate." In order to break the problem, the Poverty Alleviation Task Force mobilized Jin Junmin to provide nursery services for the poor families in the village. after vaccination, the chicken seedlings grew to about 2 jin and then sent to the poor families, so as to minimize the risk and help the poor families steadily increase their income.

Cultivate the "fruit" of increasing income and becoming rich

"funds follow the poor, the poor follow the able people, the capable people follow the industrial projects, and the industrial projects follow the market." With the support of the village support team and people who can become rich and capable, Yang Manlin is full of confidence. This year, he spared no effort to expand the scale of breeding, contracted 2 mu of mountain forests, set up professional cooperatives, built original ecological farms, and raised 3000 feathered chickens, ducks, geese and other birds.

"I not only want to get rid of poverty, but also take my whole family to get rich." The risk is less and the drive is enough. Yang Manlin also planted more than 20 mu of yellow peach and Castanea henryi, planting a "cash cow" in the gully. Now, he is planning to expand his career, develop vegetable cultivation, start a business and become a boss next year.

Yang Weinian, a 54-year-old villager, was disabled by illness three years ago and could not take care of himself. The two brothers depended on each other. Yang Weinian takes on the important task of taking care of his brother and keeps a close companion 24 hours a day. When he saw that everyone in the village raised chickens, he could not sit still. He took the initiative to contact the team members stationed in the village to help them and asked for chicken seedlings. This year, all 50 young chickens raised by him have survived and are about to be put on the market.

Accurate poverty alleviation without leaving a single person behind. From "I want to be rich" to "I want to be rich", the villagers chase each other, and no one will admit defeat. 33 poor households who meet the breeding conditions receive laying hens free of charge, and more than 80% of them have laid eggs normally, which is expected to generate nearly 5000 yuan for each household. In order to dock the market, under the matchmaking of the village support team, the party school of Changsha County Party Committee extended an "olive branch" to Putang Village and signed the first order, and some of the poultry raised by poor households will be transported to the dining room table so that there is no need to worry about the market.
