However, according to Hu Yongxin, a wheat trader in Yixing City, Jiangsu Province, the probability of adjusting the policy of purchasing wheat at the lowest price next year is not high. To investigate the reason, first, since the listing of new corn this year, there has been a major adjustment in the domestic corn market policy. on the one hand, it has completely cancelled the corn temporary storage and acquisition policy, on the other hand, it has comprehensively implemented the policy of "separation of price and compensation". This makes the corn market full of variables, whether the market can operate stably after the new corn is listed in large quantities, what kind of reaction the market parties will make to the new policy, and so on. At present, no one can give a clear answer. Under such circumstances, the relevant agencies will certainly not make any more big moves in the food rations market, and the minimum wheat purchase policy will not be adjusted next year.

As for whether it will be adjusted in the future, it depends on the effect of policy adjustment in the market of agricultural products such as corn. Second, in recent years, the supply and demand of China's wheat market is basically balanced, wheat output has not increased substantially, and the sown area of some producing areas, such as Hebei, has also declined. The important thing is that the main body of the market is mainly grain storage and other institutions. Domestic wheat inventory seems to be very large, in fact, there is the problem of over-concentration. From the point of view of ensuring the safety of rations, the wheat market policy will not be adjusted abruptly.
