Huitaiji, a farmer in Pengyang, is bent on starting a business.

"I've been out there for so many years, hoping to find a project that will lift me out of poverty and become rich." Working in Zhengzhou, Xi'an and Pengyang for more than a decade, Huitaiji has been afraid to tell others this idea for fear of being laughed at.

The hard work is worth the good will, and the opportunity has come.

One day in April 2015, he saw a merchant selling walnut oil and almond oil at the Xi'an market, which was bought by a lot of people. He also joined the party to buy two small bottles.

Hey! Pengyang is full of apricot trees and walnuts. What a rich raw material! Huitaiji tasted the mellow smell of walnut oil and had an idea in his mind.

He can't wait to return to Pengyang to start a business and engage in the production and sales of walnut and almond oil.

Due to lack of funds, he found a relative in business, Hu Zhiqi, and offered to work together.

Hu Zhiqi felt that the project was good, and the two hit it off. They went to Xi'an, Yan'an and other places to inspect the market and collected more than 400,000 yuan to buy equipment for pressing walnut oil and almond oil in Beijing.

In September of that year, they registered a food processing company in Pengyang, acquired apricot kernels and walnuts locally produced by Pengyang on a large scale, and began production in November.

Huitaiji first trial-produced some samples with light yellow color and mellow taste, which is even better than the walnut oil and almond oil sold in Xi'an, which gives him the confidence to open up the market.

In order to open up the market, Huitaiji learned a lot of professional knowledge about cooking oil. "Walnut kernels contain calcium, phosphorus, iron and other trace elements and minerals necessary for the human body, as well as various vitamins such as carotene and riboflavin. Walnut oil is a vegetable oil pressed from walnut kernels." In the process of learning, production, and marketing, he, who was born as a farmer, gradually became a "local expert."

Huitaiji adopts the strategy of "sell first and then pay". The goods are delivered to your door, and only after the merchants sell them can you collect the money according to the quantity. At the same time, he set his sights on restaurants, schools and kindergartens to promote the health benefits of walnut oil and almond oil. The marketable marketing strategy and the good quality of the oil helped him to open the Pengyang market soon. Since the beginning of this year, he has reached more than 50 sales points in surrounding counties and cities, and has supplied many local specialty online stores. His products are popular online and offline, producing and processing more than 2000 kilograms of cooking oil every day.

Huitaiji is not satisfied with selling walnut oil and almond oil around Pengyang, he actively participates in the national investment fair for all kinds of agricultural and sideline products, and tries to make the "Peng brand" vegetable edible oil enter the national market.

Huitaiji, who was born as a farmer, now thinks most about how to help poor families shake off poverty and become rich. He bought walnuts, almonds, flax and other raw materials from poor households at prices higher than the market price, recruited poor families to train and work in companies, and adopted the model of "companies + cooperatives + poor households" to help poor households develop their agricultural and sideline industries and increase their income.

At present, the original two production lines of Huitaiji can no longer meet the needs of the market. Pengyang County Industrial Park provides him with a standard industrial plant of 2000 square meters to support him to expand the scale of production.

"two new production lines will be set up, one for flaxseed oil and one for walnut oil and almond oil." On November 10, Huitaiji said that the company wants to achieve large-scale production and strive to attract more poor families to work nearby.
