Last Updated: 2024/11/09, Long Jisheng, a wage earner in Guiping, is determined to start a business, grow and grow across lands, and become rich.

Recently, in a sand sugar orange orchard in Tangwan Village, Zhushe Village, Mugui Town, Guiping City, there is a charming green everywhere, a string of sugar oranges hanging all over the branches, a gust of wind blowing, swaying, lovable, a scene of bumper harvest in sight. The owner of this more than 300 mu orchard is long Jisheng, a native of Zhu she Village in the town, and also the chairman of Guiping Nongyou Agricultural Technology Co., Ltd. He also has a planting and breeding base in Shatang Town, Cangwu County, Wuzhou City, growing more than 200 mu of sugar oranges and other fruits. In recent years, long Jisheng has successfully transformed from migrant workers to cross-land farming, and his life has become sweeter and sweeter, bringing rich villagers.

Go out to work and change to growing tangerines

In the orchard, when long Jisheng talked about this year's harvest, he was overjoyed and smiled and said, "this year my sugar oranges will have another bumper harvest. It is estimated that my sugar oranges will have a bumper harvest. Based on the purchase price of 4 yuan per kilogram last year, the output value of sugar orchards in Cangwu and Guiping can only exceed 6.8 million yuan."

Long Jisheng went out to work after graduating from junior high school. In more than 20 years of working career, he has done a variety of work, especially mastered the planting technology of sugar orange and accumulated experience in production management. Working for people for years, with a meagre income and a taste of the warmth of the world, he came up with the idea of starting his own business. Based on his experience, he was optimistic about the sugar orange market and decided to transform the cultivation of sugar oranges.

For the first time, he chose the location in Cangwu County, Wuzhou City, which is not far from Sihui City, Zhaoqing City, Guangdong Province, where sugar orange production is beginning to take shape. In 2011, introduced by friends, through many negotiations and negotiations, he leased more than 200 mu of land in Shatang Town, Cangwu County, raised funds in many ways, and successively invested more than 2 million yuan to plant sugar tangerines, emperor oranges and other fruits.

In order to ensure the success of his business, long Jisheng eats and lives on the top of the mountain, is not afraid of the sun and rain, and is devoted to the orchard with his employees. In order to improve the level of planting technology, he successively went to Zhaoqing Academy of Agricultural Sciences and other places to study. Qiu, president of Zhaoqing Academy of Agricultural Sciences, Guiping Agricultural Bureau and other experts and technicians were employed as teachers, and often organized technical personnel to Sihui City and other places to investigate on the spot, learn from lessons, and finally succeeded in finding out a set of local sugar orange planting and production techniques, increasing output and operating income year by year. I got a taste of it.

Introduce tangerines back to their hometown and bring the villagers

Long Jisheng's hometown Mugui Town is located in the confluence of the three rivers of Qianjiang, Yujiang and Xunjiang, near the Tropic of Cancer, with fertile land, mild climate and abundant rainfall, belonging to the subtropical monsoon climate and long frost-free period in winter, which is suitable for the growth of sugar tangerine. After winning the first bucket of gold to start a business, long Jisheng decided to lead sugar oranges and other plants back to his hometown to lead the villagers to shake off poverty and become rich. In early 2013, he leased more than 400 mu of sloping land near Zhushe Village, Mugui Town, with a cumulative investment of more than 3 million yuan, planted sugar orange, guava and other fruits in stages and batches, and developed three-dimensional cultivation. Interplanting pumpkin, Huaishan, kudzu and other short-term cash crops in the orchard, raising pigs, chickens and fish, fully tapping the potential of the land, and increasing production and management income.

After long Jisheng's success in growing sugar oranges, he did not forget the villagers. In 2015, with the loan support of local rural credit cooperatives, he established Guiping Nongyou Agricultural Science and Technology Co., Ltd., providing the villagers with information, technology, and high-quality seedlings, and the surrounding villagers set off an upsurge of growing fruit. changed the way of mining and smelting manganese to sell resources to obtain income in the past, and took the road of ecological development. Under his leadership and help, Mugui Town has successively set up 18 specialized agricultural cooperatives and bases, and nearly 100 poor households participate in characteristic industries such as sugar orange, emperor mandarin, guava, pig farming, fish farming, chicken farming, and field snail farming. He also gives full play to his advantages of smart market information, getting to know many vendors and a wide sales network, broadening fruit sales channels, actively promoting local agricultural products, and increasing the income of fruit farmers and professional households.

Win-win results between the two places are sweeter.

As the two bases of Cangwu and Guiping gradually become large-scale, long Jisheng and managers often run between the two places, integrating production resources, implementing complementary advantages, introducing seedlings and technology from Cangwu, exporting labor from Guiping, etc., strengthen technological exchanges, strengthen development strength, and promote the development of the two bases.

According to long Jisheng, the sugar tangerine he grows mainly applies farm organic fertilizer, has fewer diseases and insect pests, and rarely sprays pesticides, producing eco-friendly high-quality sugar oranges with large fruit, good color, moisture, thin skin, thick meat, sweet and delicious, and listed before the Spring Festival, which is favored by customers. Every year, northern vendors Murong booked in advance and purchased directly to the orchard.

At present, Longjisheng's two bases grow more than 500 mu of sugar tangerine, 80 mu of guava, 50 mu of Huishan and kudzu, and raise pigs, chickens and fish on a large scale. Last year, sugar tangerine achieved an output value of more than 5.6 million yuan, including more than 300 live pigs, more than 5000 chickens and fish. There are more than 50 long-term workers and more than 300 seasonal workers.

A hundred feet pole, go one step further. The joy of success has inspired long Jisheng's greater entrepreneurial enthusiasm. At present, he is negotiating to lease 250 mu of land and set up a new orchard. He plans to introduce early-maturing and high-quality varieties of sugar orange from Nanjing next year, avoid the peak ripening period of ordinary sugar orange, seize the market opportunity, improve management efficiency, and drive more villagers to become rich.
