Last Updated: 2024/11/06, Fu Chenghua, a big grain grower in the country, has turned the barren land into a treasure basin.

Fu Chenghua, a villager of Qushui Village, Guoliang Town, Dazu District, is a well-known expert at getting rich. Having been drifting all the year round, since 2013, by renting more than 500 mu of paddy fields for villagers, Lao Fu, in the words of villagers, has become Boss Fu, and has found a sense of achievement in the fields of hope.

When he chose to go back to his hometown to be a big grain grower, Fu Chenghua was not only tired of working life, but more importantly, he could not bear to watch the fertile land in the village abandoned in vain. The "old man" of farming felt that he should plant all these fields with grain.

Two years after returning to his hometown to grow grain, Fu Chenghua was rated as the largest grain grower in the country.

I feel sorry for the wasteland and return to my old job.

Fu Chenghua, 51, is an authentic farmer who has worked in the fields since he was a child and is an expert in farming.

A few years ago, like most villagers, Fu Chenghua chose to go out to work as a bricklayer on a construction site. With a steady willingness to work and rising wages, Fu Chenghua, with an annual income of more than 60,000 yuan, made some money. He not only pulled down the family's old house and built a two-story small building, but also had a certain amount of savings on hand.

When he was working outside, Fu Chenghua liked to watch TV. He especially liked to watch the CCTV Agricultural Channel and watch the stories of big farmers and grain growers. Watching, Fu Chenghua from the beginning of simple envy, gradually see the way, feel that they actually have the opportunity to be a "big family."

When he comes back from work every year, Fu Chenghua goes to the farmland, and he is distressed to see the fields abandoned because the head of the household goes out to work. "it's a pity that such a good paddy field is left uncultivated." He lamented that every household used to take good care of each field, and the scene of gratifying crops everywhere could not be seen.

"the shortage of land in the village is not a thing. Now I have some money in hand, the state also has a policy to support the big grain growers, and I am good at growing grain, so I should be able to try to rent these fields to grow grain." Fu Chenghua thought in his heart. In addition to having a natural sense of closeness to farmland, the hard work of migrant workers is also an important factor in Fu Chenghua's decision to go back to his hometown to grow food. "it's still more comfortable at home, and you can make some contribution to your hometown."

In July 2013, after several plans, Fu Chenghua finally made up his mind not to go out any more. he visited every house in the village and reached an agreement with the villagers to rent a total of 520 mu of paddy fields in the grain and oil high-yield demonstration area at an annual rent of 320 yuan per mu, of which abandoned land accounted for more than half.

Put one's blood into the farmland

In the familiar countryside, Fu Chenghua quickly found the opportunity to show his skills in the fields. While renting the fields one by one, Fu Chenghua first planted more than 40 mu of rapeseed. In May 2014, he harvested more than 7,000 jin of rapeseed. Calculated according to the purchase price of 3.5 yuan on the market, the income reached nearly 30,000 yuan. "many people in the village have gone out to work, and few have stayed at home to grow rape. As soon as rape is harvested this season, it is quickly ordered by the villagers, and demand falls short of supply." Fu Chenghua began to taste the benefits of land contracting.

The sweetness is more than that. As a major grain grower, Fu Chenghua is entitled to a direct subsidy of 200 yuan per mu from the government to large grain growers. After receiving the subsidy in the future, Fu Chenghua will, in accordance with the land lease agreement, pay out 125 yuan per mu of grain direct subsidies to the heads of households in all paddy fields.

In Guoliang town, Fu Chenghua is the key support object of the town government. When negotiating with the villagers to lease the land, the staff of the agricultural service center of the town government came forward to help coordinate and connect the fields rented by Fu Chenghua together to facilitate farming and field management.

During the spring ploughing in the first year of 2014, the staff of the Agricultural Service Center of Guoliang Town helped Fu Chenghua select seeds and came to Tian Tou for technical guidance many times. When sowing and raising seedlings, the town government sent three bags of rice seedling strengthening agents; when transplanting seedlings, the town government provided two rice transplanters free of charge to seize the time in the 100 mu paddy field suitable for rice transplanters. At the same time, the town government also provided Fu Chenghua with 4 kinds and more than 500 packets of pesticides free of charge, so that he could kill insects and kill pests in time after transplanting rice seedlings.

In March, Fu Chenghua's contracted fields began to grow the first season of rice. He still remembers clearly the labor scene at that time: on March 8, Fu Chenghua hired senior farmers in the village to sow and raise seedlings. Since April 8, more than 80 rice transplanting workers he hired in the village set aside the fields and began to transplant rice seedlings on and off, and the transplanting work did not end until early May. After that, the workers went to the fields to clean up weeds and vines, which will last for more than ten days.

This season, Fu Chenghua planted two kinds of high-yielding seedlings Jinsui 916 and Yiliangyou 199, which could produce 900jin of rice per mu at autumn harvest and 470000 jin of rice in all paddy fields.

Due to the early reclamation of wasteland, the large investment in land consolidation, the one-time payment of rent and the huge expenditure on hiring labor, Fu Chenghua's savings were quickly exhausted, and he owed some foreign debts. In the first year, Fu Chenghua, who was busy until the end of the year, did not make much money from the grain fields, but Fu Chenghua did not panic. He knew that when his experience matured, he would be able to find room to reduce costs and increase income.

They all say, "if you have food in your hand, don't panic." Fu Chenghua is just like this, especially when the grain is ripe in July every year, he stands on the ridge of the field and looks at the golden color of the 500 mu of fertile land he has cultivated every day. Fu Chenghua blossoms with delight.

Good policies support the achievement of major grain growers in the country

In the past two years, Fu Chenghua has enjoyed more and more policy benefits.

Fu Chenghua is a big grain grower, and the government's subsidy for growing grain per mu has been raised to 230 yuan. Well-informed, he has something to look forward to. "I read in the newspaper that many NPC deputies and CPPCC members have suggested that the state should increase subsidies to large grain growers, and there is still great hope." He hopes that such a good policy will be introduced soon.

In addition, the government supports large families to rent full-process social services. Professional companies need to pay 540 yuan to provide full-process social services from transplanting to harvesting one mu of land, while the financial subsidy is 280 yuan, and individuals only need to pay 260 yuan. This lightens a lot of burden for Fu Chenghua. However, the cost of renting land has also risen to 400 yuan per mu.

"in the past, you had to hire a lot of people, but labor alone was a big expense. now there are agricultural companies to serve you, so you don't have to worry much, and you spend less money." Fu Chenghua personally experienced the course of the great development of agriculture and praised the achievements of Dazu's agricultural development in recent years.

In 2015, Fu Chenghua, with a circulation of more than 500 mu of land and an annual output of about 470000 jin of rice, was rated as a "major national grain grower" by the Ministry of Agriculture. Unexpectedly, "inadvertently" won a national brand award, and Fu Chenghua was excited that he had grasped the country's situation-the spring for the big grain growers was really coming!

Diversified economy broadens the way to get rich

This year, after collecting the grain, Fu Chenghua stopped growing rape and began to grow radish.

"more than 500 mu of paddy fields have been planted, but this time they have planted more than 200 mu of paddy fields. If they grow too much, they will not have enough energy, and they are afraid that they will not sell them off." Bold Fu Chenghua is very cautious this time. When he decided to grow radish, he had already contacted the buyer, and when the radish was ripe, he would sell it to a kimchi processing plant, "the price is more than 20 cents."

These days, green radish seedlings emerge from the ground and look very good under the gray and yellow sky in winter.

Just in time for thinning seedlings, Fu Chenghua and his wife's job was to pull out the extra Turnip Sprouts so that the radish seeds would not be too dense and the size of the radish would be too small. Every day, although they hired workers, the couple would still work in the fields by themselves. they inspected the fields and kept bending over and thinning the seedlings. Fu Chenghua and his wife were bent all the time, and their backache at the end of the day.

"what you do is hard work, and what you earn is hard money." Fu Chenghua relieved himself that no matter how tired he was, he was not as tired as being a construction worker in the field before, and he earned his own money for every little work he did. If you think of it this way, Fu Chenghua won't feel very tired.

This year, Fu Chenghua, who tasted the benefits of land lease, once again sold 100 mu of land at the price of 400 yuan per mu in this village, which was specially used to grow lotus root. In the first year, the lotus root field immediately had a bumper harvest.

During this period, Fu Chenghua hired several lotus root diggers to dig the lotus root every day, drove three-wheeled motor vehicles, pulled baskets of lotus roots to a loading point hundreds of meters away through the ploughing road, loaded them with large trucks and shipped them to the Chongqing wholesale market for sale.

Now 1500 kilograms of lotus root is produced per mu of land. The wholesale price of lotus root these days is 2.60 yuan / kg. The gross profit seems to be considerable, but the salary of the workers digging lotus root is very expensive. Fu Chenghua doesn't think he can make too much money. The shrewd Fu Chenghua decided to dig the lotus root slowly until next March.

"wait until the price is high, so you can make more money." Fu Chenghua said that this is also the experience he learned from other big lotus root growers.

With a bumper harvest of grain and lotus roots, if there is no accident, the radish will also have a bumper harvest, and everything in the agricultural industry will develop in the direction of its own imagination. In this excellent situation, the pace of Fu Chenghua's family getting rich is accelerating.

After finishing the work in the field, Fu Chenghua's wife was in charge of a pig farm. Now she has raised more than 50 pigs. Through careful care, the pigs in the pen are fat and strong. Fortunately, the pig market is better this year. Fu Chenghua's daughter-in-law runs a supermarket in the village and provides e-commerce services, not only sending express deliveries, but also selling local products on the Internet.

The family is busy every day, and Fu Chenghua feels very satisfied. He recognized a simple truth: as long as you get rich through hard work, as long as you find the right direction and are not afraid of hard work, you will have a run, and you will get better and better.
