Dengping, a youth in Fulong Town, Shizhong District, Neijiang City, returned home to start a business to grow out-of-season vegetables and fruits, with an annual profit of 700000 yuan.

Deng Ping is an out-and-out rural child, born in 1979 in the fourth Society of Dawuchong Village, Fulong Town, Central District, Neijiang City. His family is poor and he has been a farmer for generations. He graduated from Fulong Junior Middle School in 1995 and began to work in Guangzhou in 1997 for more than ten years.

Deng Ping has a different understanding of farming, which comes from an accidental inspiration. In 2007, his company organized a trip, including an agricultural product picking activity. At that time, they went to an agricultural park to pick watermelons, and he chatted with local farmers and learned something that surprised him. He asked the melon farmer how many watermelons he could produce per mu of land, and the melon farmer told him ten thousand jin. "good heavens! Ten thousand jin?! " He thought he had heard wrong, so he confirmed it again. "Yes, it's ten thousand jin. Those who grow well can reach twelve or three thousand. " People who don't understand agriculture may have no idea about this number. But Deng Ping, who was born in the countryside, thought at that time: his hometown in Sichuan also grows watermelons, and if he has a good harvest in the open air, he will get a thousand jin. Why is the gap so big? How do you do that? Later, he learned through understanding that the artificial creation of plant growth conditions is the key. For example, temperature, humidity, fertilizer and water, light, pest management. The temperature is controlled by the greenhouse, and the drip irrigation technology is used for humidity and fertilizer and water, which not only can be controlled by humidity, but also saves labor. These are the key to high yield and can be listed in advance. Although the hardware investment will be higher, but more conservative algorithm, the product according to the average price of one jin minus investment, equivalent to a net profit of more than 5000 yuan per mu.

Compared with the traditional mode of relying on heaven for food, the gap is too big. Traditional agriculture has too many drawbacks, there is no harvest in dry days, Rain Water has no harvest, and one of the most fatal factors is that even in a bumper harvest year, due to centralized listing, supply exceeds demand, prices are generally on the low side, and sometimes they lose all their money! Making out-of-season vegetables and fruits, listing ahead of time, and scientific planting is the way out for agriculture. This is what Deng Ping understood, so he decided to give up his stable job and go back to his hometown to start a business.

Everything is not plain sailing. In 2008, despite the opposition of his family and friends, Deng Ping resolutely gave up his job and went back to his hometown to carry a hoe for farming again. In the eyes of others, he is a madman with a hairpin on his skull. Although he does not have a good future in Guangzhou, after all, compared with his own hometown, he has a stable income and a certain surplus in addition to supporting his family. Many people, including relatives and friends, will ask him, "how much progress will it be to go home and start a business?" In our rural areas, which depend on heaven for a living, can we support a family by planting our own one-third of an mu of land? "

It is terrible not to be understood, but Deng Ping is strong at heart. Now he still remembers what his friend said to him: "if you want to build roads rich, you want to grow greenhouses in poverty." As for where this sentence came from, he really didn't understand it at that time. In the first year, he confidently contracted 30 mu of land to build a greenhouse and planted Kirin watermelons, which were a month or two earlier and twice as expensive than open-field watermelons. This kind of melon tastes good, but its thin skin cannot bear long-distance transportation, and it is very difficult for non-local Kirin melons to be shipped to the local market, which is also a relative advantage, so Deng Ping chose this variety. But the first year quickly confirmed what his friend said: due to insufficient technology and poor management, almost all the melon seedlings died when they were about to mature, and there was no harvest that year. He was disappointed, but not desperate. Now he understands why the greenhouse is poor, and the key lies in technology. If you find the reason for your failure, you have to break through the difficulties. He went to consult a lot of professionals and thought it was not enough. I heard that a friend in Zhejiang had a lot of experience in planting this kind of plant, so he made a special trip to Zhejiang to study in the field for half a year, and finally succeeded in planting it the following year. The net profit for that year was almost 200000 yuan. At present, its planting area is more than 100 mu, with an annual profit of about 700000 yuan.

In 2015, under the guidance of local government agricultural technicians, Deng Ping innovated the planting model and interplanted off-season vegetables such as watermelon and late-ripening balsam pear, which was successful in the first trial.

In March 2016, Deng Ping set up a professional vegetable planting cooperative in Dawuchong Village, Fulong Town, with a previous contract of about 140 mu of land, preparing to expand the off-season vegetable planting area year by year, and to establish a modern vegetable planting industrial park with the support of the government. while improving the land utilization rate, we will solve the employment of more surplus labor in the surrounding areas, and provide advanced planting technology for the surrounding farmers to achieve common prosperity.
