To this end, relying on the rolling green hills, vast grasslands, and good ecology in his hometown, Zhang Pengsuo led the masses to plant plateau green vegetables and Panax notoginseng, and introduced new varieties of cattle and sheep for breeding. In December 2015, he took the lead in raising green-shell laying hens, successfully turning the natural disadvantage of Zhonghe village committee into a new characteristic advantage.

"Last year, I learned that there were basically no green shell eggs on the market in Luoping. After discovering this business opportunity, I immediately went to Malong County for investigation and study, and then introduced a small number of green shell hens for trial breeding. Unexpectedly, as soon as it was raised, the economic benefits were highlighted. " Zhang Pengsuo said.

"We sell each green-shell egg for an average of about 130 yuan, and a green-shell egg is more than 50 cents higher than an ordinary egg. at present, it is mainly sold to this county and the surrounding counties and cities, and vendors in Kunming will also come to buy it." According to Zhang Pengsuo, at present, green shell eggs do not worry about the market, and what is most lacking is breeding technology and financial support. only when the scale goes up, the benefit will be better and the drive to the masses will be stronger.

Talking about the next step of development, Zhang Pengsuo plans to set up a green-shell layer breeding cooperative, so as to mobilize more people to participate in the breeding of green-shell laying hens and expand the scale of breeding. In addition, he also decided to register a green shell egg brand called 'Bailashan' in order to form large-scale breeding and brand development in the future.
