Chen Mingjun: building Dictyophora into a Rich Industry

From the generous county seat out of the south gate, along the old Qing bi highway to Yangchang town Chuanyan village potou group, all the way green mountains, towering trees. However, in the past, there were high mountains and deep valleys, barren land, sparse vegetation and poor ecology. Through the implementation of returning farmland to forest, the ecological environment of Chuanyan village has been greatly improved, explored a way to transform ecological benefits into economic benefits, and derived legends of getting rich one by one.

Among them, there is Chen Mingjun, who abandoned business and planted Dongsun everywhere to lead the masses to become rich.

When I saw Chen Mingjun, he was leading the members of the cooperative to harvest Dongsun. Chen Mingjun said: it is necessary to take advantage of the fine weather to harvest Dongsun in time. In front of him, Dongsun, who broke through the ground, huddled together, clumps and piles, growing gratifying.

The generous environmental and climatic conditions are very suitable for the growth of Dictyophora and has a unique advantage. In recent years, with the increasing development of Dictyophora industry, many people have obtained the first bucket of gold by planting Dictyophora. Generosity has also become the main producing area of winter sun in the country, and is known as the "hometown of winter sun".

In the 1970s and 1980s, Chen Mingjun brothers devoted themselves to the cultivation and technical research of Dongsun, Gastrodia elata and Ganoderma lucidum, and formed an inexplicable relationship with the cultivation of Dongsun, Gastrodia elata and Ganoderma lucidum.

As a result of long-term contact with Gastrodia elata, the four Chen brothers accumulated rich experience in the cultivation of Dictyophora, and had a set of techniques for seed production, cultivation, management, drying and storage, and they also planted the wild Gastrodia elata. Gastrodia elata seeds obtained by asexual reproduction were planted in Gastrodia elata, which created a precedent for the cultivation of wild Gastrodia elata.

The strains of Dictyophora produced by them are sold to the surrounding cities and counties, as well as Zhenxiong in Yunnan and Gulin in Sichuan. Every year, the strain alone sells 20 to 30 tons, with an income of nearly 300000 yuan.

Since 1985, Chen Mingjun has been doing business with Gastrodia elata, Ganoderma lucidum and winter sun in Zunyi. Every year, dozens of tons of Gastrodia elata, Ganoderma lucidum and winter sun have been sold, and good economic benefits have been achieved. Chen Mingjun himself has a house and shop in the urban area of Zunyi.

In recent years, I have seen that the ecology of my hometown has improved, but there are still many people who have not been lifted out of poverty. Chen Mingjun thinks that being rich alone is not rich, but that everyone is really rich, so he has the idea of going back to his hometown to start a business and lead everyone to become rich together.

Chen Mingjun said that although he has been working hard outside, he is always watching the development of his hometown from various channels. In March 2015, with the savings of more than 2 million yuan earned from his business, he set up a professional cooperative for planting Jiuliqing in the potou group, using the model of "cooperative + base + farmers" to guide the public to grow winter sun, Gastrodia elata and Ganoderma lucidum.

With professional cooperatives, the villagers see the hope of getting rich. In addition to earning a certain amount of income from working in co-operatives, they also developed their own cultivation under the guidance of Chen Mingjun. Chen Mingjun said: it is his greatest wish to lead the masses to become rich together and become rich together.

In October last year, when Governor Sun Zhigang went to the Botou Group for research, he hoped that Chen Mingjun would expand the planting area, become bigger and stronger, and lead the villagers to become rich together. Chen Mingjun said that he was very excited at that time, but also more confident, and immediately promised the provincial governor that he must expand the scale and let the land blossom everywhere.

Chen Mingjun said: the provincial governor encouraged himself to become a large professional cooperative, and he firmly instructed him to strive to make the scale larger and the strength stronger, so as to better lead the villagers to increase their income and become rich, fulfill their promises, and lead the villagers to become rich and well-off together.

This year, Chen Mingjun planted more than 30,000 square meters of winter sun, and this year is the first harvest. Chen Mingjun calculated an account. Dongsun's economic benefit is relatively good. 400 square meters of land is planted per mu and 120 jin of dry products are produced per mu. According to the market price of 270 yuan per jin, the output value per mu is as high as 30,000 yuan.

Chen Mingjun said happily that Dongsun is growing well this year, and his income of 700,000 to 800,000 will not be a problem. In addition to planting Dictyophora, Chen Mingjun also made great efforts to develop the cultivation of traditional Chinese medicine. At present, he grows Gastrodia elata, Maca, Ganoderma lucidum and other Chinese herbal medicines, with an annual income of 50,000 to 60,000 yuan.

According to Chen Mingjun, at present, there are 12 poor households in Jiuliqing planting professional cooperatives, and after this year's harvest, there should be 30,000 to 40,000 more and 10,000 to 20,000 less.

Chen Mingjun also instructed villagers to plant more than 100,000 square meters of Dictyophora in villages and towns such as Dongguan, Liulong, feldspar and Laojing, and bought it at a guaranteed price of 200 yuan per jin, making it a rich industry and helping the local poor take off the "hat" of poverty.

On 29 May this year, the Dafang County established the Dictyophora Association, and Chen Mingjun was elected president of the Dictyophora Association in the southern region, coordinating and guiding the cultivation, processing, and marketing of Dictyophora in the southern area, so as to drive more people to develop the cultivation of Dictyophora, increase their income and become rich.

In June, during the generous holding of the fourth National Gastrodia conference, generous Dongsun attracted the attention of people in the industry all over the country. In August, the General Administration of quality Supervision, Inspection and Quarantine organized experts in Beijing to evaluate the products of national geographical indications declared by generous Dongsun, which finally successfully passed the expert examination, indicating that generous Dongsun has become a national geographical indication product.

Chen Mingjun said that the strong support of the government is like reassuring to Dongsun growers, making them full of confidence in planting Dongsun. He hopes to further expand the planting scale of Dictyophora and drive more people to embark on the road to prosperity through planting Dictyophora.
