The National Day Golden week was originally a day of leisure and entertainment, but Aunt Gao in Wenxian County, Henan Province, was injured at home because of a traffic accident. The reason is that Aunt Gao rode her bike home from town and fell into a ditch by the side of the road when she was meeting a car. Careful investigation is that Aunt Gao must go home from the town. Nearly half of the width of the rural road is occupied by farmers "drying corn."

There is no doubt that the behavior of drying grain on the road has a huge safety hidden danger, which not only affects the patency of road traffic, but also easily leads to traffic accidents. On the other hand, from a legal point of view, it is illegal for farmers to dry grain on the road. Once they cause traffic accidents, they need to bear the corresponding legal liability such as civil compensation, and the loss outweighs the gain.

In view of the behavior of farmers drying grain on the road, local transportation and other departments have taken a lot of measures and achieved certain results, but they have not been fundamentally eliminated. When it comes to the harvest season, there is a phenomenon of grain "grabbing" roads almost everywhere. On the face of it, the reason why farmers choose to dry grain on the road is that they can dry grain quickly, improve efficiency and save the cost of drying grain. Fundamentally speaking, it is the desolation of grain drying farms in rural areas, resulting in farmers not having a suitable place to dry grain, forcing farmers to do so on the road.

In the past, almost every administrative village and village group had its own grain drying farm for villagers to dry grain during the harvest season. Today, the grain drying farms in most villages are either abandoned or sold as collective land, or have been built houses, or reclaimed into arable land. There is no public grain drying ground in rural areas, so there is a nationwide phenomenon of corn "robbing" roads and wheat "robbing" roads.

In order to put an end to the phenomenon of corn "robbing" roads and ensure road traffic safety, the key is not to directly prohibit farmers from drying grain on the road, but to make up for historical debts, rebuild public grain drying farms in rural areas, or add some drying facilities. so that farmers no longer worry about drying grain.
