Wang Liwen (right), a farmer from Bahu Village, Ergong Town, Jimusar County, is introducing the raising of sheep to the town cadres.

"Twenty ewes are pregnant with sheep, and in less than two years, I will be able to take off the hat of poor families." On December 1, Wang Liwen, a farmer from Bahu Village, Ergong Town, Jimusar County, said confidently to the cadres of the Poverty Alleviation Office.

Wang Liwen is a poor family in the village because his wife is sick all the year round. This year, Gilsar County used the hematopoietic model to promote accurate poverty alleviation and implemented poverty alleviation sheep projects in various townships. Wang Liwen got 20 poverty alleviation ewes and 200 chickens.

Under the guidance of animal husbandry experts, over the past year, Wang Liwen has carefully raised and taken care of sheep and chickens. 200 chickens have been sold, and 20 ewes have been fed fat and strong one by one. What is more gratifying is that they are pregnant with sheep one by one, and in another two months, a sheep will be born.

The reporter learned from the Poverty Alleviation Office of Jimusar County that this year, Jimusar County has carefully compared and calculated accounts from finding out the basic situation of family background, causes of poverty, sources of income, and income levels, and carried out accurate identification of the poor population in strict accordance with the procedures of "village-level evaluation, township examination, and county-level confirmation." in February, it was determined that there were 244 rural poor households and 774 people in the county.

On the basis of accurate identification, it is clear that 244 poor households have been lifted out of poverty in three years, 2016, 85 households in 2017 and 48 households in 2018.

With regard to the 359 people from 111 households to be lifted out of poverty in 2016, according to the policy of one household, we will formulate assistance measures one by one, and determine specific tasks, standards, measures and time for assistance, so as to make a thorough investigation and survey of each household, one account for each household, and one assistance plan for one household, one family after another, and follow up and implement them one by one, so as to make the assistance work targeted and timely.

For poor households, including Wang Liwen, who are willing to raise livestock, 2518 ewe sheep, 295 cattle and 1900 chickens have been distributed to poor households through household poverty alleviation projects. Each pair helps county leaders and units buy cattle and sheep, help repair sheds and houses for poor households, provide them with the necessary means of production, help develop agriculture and animal husbandry production, and invest 1.96 million yuan in aid funds.

The reporter learned from the propaganda Department of the Jimusar County Party Committee that according to the deployment, the poverty alleviation project has been promoted in many aspects, such as infrastructure construction, industrial support, transfer of employment, educational security, medical security, social security, modern cultural guidance, and ecological environment protection, and has achieved practical results.

It is understood that Jimusar County has lifted 2485 people out of poverty from 1072 households in 2014 and 2015 and passed the acceptance assessment this year.
