On a hillside of Liangjiabao in Zhongduo Street, black-bone chickens rolling like black balls stroll and compete for food in unbuilt factories, and several workers tie chicken cages next to an incubator... This is Ran Junwan's chicken farm, which was rated as a "model for getting rich from poverty" this year.

Within a few years, Ran Junwan changed from a southward "wage earner" to a boss with vegetable base, medicinal material base and breeding base. With persistence and diligence, he took off the poverty cap on his head and drove the surrounding poor households out of poverty.

There are worries about working in the south

Before 2012, Ran Junwan and his wife were part of the fifth team of migrant workers going south, but they didn't find a good job, but worked part-time around for a living, earning very little, which made them feel distressed.

"Life is very difficult when working." Ran Junwan said, In the past to see others go out to work back seems to be very beautiful, So also want to go out to work to change the economic situation of the family, But because there is no skill, And did not find good work, Had to follow others to do nail board and other odd jobs. Part-time jobs are "there is no day", income is very unstable, always worry about what to do the next day, they are very anxious.

Income is unstable, expenses are larger than home, but also can not take care of the elderly and children, 2012, Ran Junwan with his wife back to Liangjiabao.

Failure or failure, success

Ran Junwan, who came home, looked at the mountain outside his door every day and worried: Life has to pass, money has to earn by himself, and he has no skills, what should I do?

In the daily thinking process, Ran Junwan thought: Now people are pursuing green, ecology, why not take advantage of the advantages of mountains, develop vegetables? In 2013, he used all his savings, with the help of the village branch "two committees," built a small vegetable base in the local area, planted ginseng, wax gourd, etc., but due to lack of experience, sales channels are not smooth and other problems, he did not earn money that year.

Ran Junwan's wife was very angry at wasting a year but getting nothing. She thought his behavior was unreliable and asked him and herself to continue working outside, but Ran Junwan refused.

"I always believe that the industry I choose must have a future, and after a year of experiments, I have experience and certain sales channels, I must try again." Ran Junwan said.

Ran Junwan's insistence was correct. The next year, Ran Junwan's vegetable base earned some money.

Get rid of poverty and take off your hat to get rich

After the profit Ran Junwan "not satisfied". In 2015, Ran Junwan expanded the scale of the base through contact with foreign businessmen, from single vegetable planting to joint planting of vegetables and traditional Chinese medicinal materials. The scale of the base expanded to more than 100 mu, realizing a net income of about 60,000 yuan in that year, and driving more than 20 poor households to work and increase income in the base. In 2016, Ran Junwan's total area of vegetables and medicinal materials reached more than 1000 mu, driving the number of poor households to about 70.

Also in 2016, Ran Junwan, who has a wide network of contacts through business, together with the head of a breeding enterprise, set up a black-bone chicken breeding farm near the vegetable and medicinal material base, mainly selling chickens and eggs. At present, the farm has more than 2000 black-bone chickens.

"I'm currently in short supply of chickens and eggs, so I'm expanding the scale." Ran Junwan said, Because he has a good sales channel, So don't worry about sales problems. Because the farm is currently unable to meet market demand, it is prepared to expand the farm to a scale of 50,000 breeders. "At that time, our farm needs more people to help, so we can drive more people to increase their income." Ran Junwan said.
