It is better to go out to work than to go home to start a business. "this is the first sentence that Qiu Minfang, a post-80s rural girl, told the reporter. Qiu Minfang, who was born in Shibao Town, Gulin County in 1982, married her husband Shi Linbing after graduating from the financial school in 2001 and has been working outside the country. In 2010, he chose to go back to his hometown to start a business and grow flue-cured tobacco. In 2013, he began to grow traditional Chinese medicine because the land was idle. In the entrepreneurial road is not smooth, but it is this post-80s girl, but with their own industrious hands, propped up a piece of world.

After years of unremitting efforts and continuous learning, Qiu Minfang has also become an expert in the cultivation of traditional Chinese medicine. The cooperative was established in July 2014, and its main business is based on the cultivation, promotion, recycling, primary processing and marketing of traditional Chinese medicine. Due to the needs of development, Huinong Xiangyu Ecological Agriculture Development Co., Ltd. was registered in October 2015, which integrates the development model of traditional Chinese medicine planting to drive poultry, livestock breeding and tourism.

Qiu Minfang introduced the product to the reporter.

Why choose to plant traditional Chinese medicine? Qiu Minfang told reporters that the state has vigorously supported the development of rural industries. Gulin County is located at 38 degrees north latitude and is moderately warm, which is suitable for Angelica sinensis, Platycodon grandiflorum, Prunella vulgaris and other markets in urgent need of large quantities of medicinal materials. Gulin is located on the border of Sichuan and Guizhou and on the north side of the western section of Dalou Mountain of Wumeng Mountain. It covers an area of 3184 square kilometers, has jurisdiction over 26 townships and is inhabited by 26 ethnic groups such as Han, Miao and Yi. It is a new round of national key counties for poverty alleviation and development, key counties for regional development and poverty alleviation in Wumeng Mountain area, and old revolutionary base areas in Sichuan Province.

Nowadays, the traditional Chinese medicine industry of the cooperative led by Qiu Minfang has developed rapidly and has become a pillar industry for increasing farmers' income in the region. At present, the cooperative has built 1233 mu of densely planted high-efficiency traditional Chinese medicine, 8 planting bases, 1 standardized processing workshop, 3 processing equipment and 156 large planting households. In 2015, more than 700,000 seedlings were planted, 300000 kilograms of finished Chinese herbal medicines were harvested, and cooperatives organized the processing and sale of 230000 kilograms of Chinese herbal medicines, with annual sales of 3.25 million yuan and per capita income of 2600 yuan, driving the per capita income of farmers to increase by 1400 yuan.

Qiu Minfang goes deep into the base

With the expansion of the planting scale, technical training and sales channels have become Qiu Minfang's top priority. According to the operation mode of "company + cooperative + pharmaceutical farmer", the cooperative signs the ordering contract of traditional Chinese medicine with the company, carries out order production and protective price purchase, which strengthens the confidence of pharmaceutical farmers in the development of traditional Chinese medicine. And carry out quality improvement projects, cooperatives set up technical training centers, purchase computers and projectors, establish a learning and training system, and invite experts from the traditional Chinese medicine industry to cooperatives to carry out technical training. As a result, two major problems have been solved, says Qiu Minfang. In terms of technology and sales, she began to think about how to develop towards rural tourism.

In recent years, Qiu Minfang has led the cooperative to make full use of ecological resources, using leaves and stems other than the medicinal parts of our traditional Chinese medicine to raise poultry and livestock, such as black chickens, wild boars, sheep, and so on. The manure produced by poultry and livestock is used as organic fertilizer in the cultivation of our traditional Chinese medicine, so that ordinary people can buy ecological, green, healthy and environmentally friendly goods.

After the interview, Qiu Minfang told reporters that entrepreneurs should have a heart that is not afraid of failure, keep learning, and be good at seizing opportunities for rapid development. I will strive to grow and develop local traditional Chinese medicine, so as to lead everyone to get rich and increase their income.
