Frustrated when returning home to start a business

Song Tingpin, who came from a poor family, went out to work before graduating from junior high school in order to lighten his family's burden. after years of hard work, his family's economic outlook has improved. Because of his low level of education, Song Tingpin was mostly engaged in manual work when he was working outside the country, and suffered from gout at the age of 30. Can not do labor-intensive work, but can only go back to their hometown to find another way out, and then make plans.

After returning to his hometown, Song Tingpin did everything he could think of to make a living. He once devoted his energies to growing Dictyophora. However, Dictyophora is "delicate", the planting conditions are too wet and too dry, and it takes favorable weather to have a harvest. "after losing money in two years and earning in two years, apart from the costs of labor and land transfer funds, we can complement each other's losses and be thankful that there is no loss." Song Tingpin said.

Unwilling to fail, Song Tingpin began to examine his entrepreneurial path. In recent years, with the increasing economic conditions in the village, there has been a building boom to improve the living environment, and Song Tingpin feels that it is profitable to set up a sand and gravel factory. In 2008, Song Tingpin invited about five fellow villagers who had worked together to open a sand and gravel yard in the town of Haochang. After two years of operation, due to many reasons, a total loss of more than 800,000 yuan, each business partner invested more than 100,000 yuan has been wasted, the attempt to operate a sand and gravel factory ended in failure.

Raising pigs to help get rid of poverty

Seeing that there is not much money left from working, the two children are in high school, so they cannot do heavy work, and the heavy family burden falls on his wife's shoulders. Song Tingpin, who can not stand the troubles, has found that Tengdao village has many mountains and grass, which is suitable for the development of aquaculture.

In 2010, Song Tingpin bought more than 20 black goats. He did not carry, lift or pick up the sheep. Suffering from gout, he drove the sheep up the mountain every morning, and his wife came back in the evening to help drive them back. During the past six years, there were more than 100 sheep at most.

"raising sheep was the first bucket of gold I gained when I was sick and started my business. I earned 20,000 to 30,000 yuan a year from raising sheep." Song Tingpin said that although raising sheep can give him a stable income, raising sheep is harmful to the forest and the amount of feeding will be limited.

Tengdao Village has more forests and a large forest cover area, which is suitable for free-range raising of pigs. The quality of free-range pork is good and the price has a market. In view of this, Song Tingpin began to plan to open a large-scale under-forest breeding farm and set up a professional cooperative for under-forest farmers.

In June 2015, Song Tingpin invited about eight villagers to develop under-forest farming, choosing a site in a small valley surrounded by forests. Nine people invested 150000 yuan in total, and it took three months to build a pig shed.

In September of the same year, Song Tingpin and his partner bought 70 piglets and fed them in pairs in turn. As long as it doesn't rain, feed the pigs in the morning and herd them under the woods on the mountain. Slowly, the pig shed began to expand.

"in October this year, we sold all the remaining 105 live pigs. although the pigs were not fattened, the selling price was higher than that of the pigs raised in captivity, with a total harvest of more than 260000 yuan." Song Tingpin said.

Get rich on a large scale

"when piglets run into the woods, they can not only find food, but also weed and protect the forest." Song Tingpin, who felt the great potential of pig farming, decided to increase the number of piglets, and then everyone bought another 76 piglets.

"at the beginning, we did not pay attention to the epidemic prevention of live pigs, and we lacked experience in breeding. The pigs we raised suffered from illness and 40 pigs died." Song Tingpin said that fortunately, he used medicine in time to contain the spread of the disease. When he invited animal husbandry and veterinary technicians to check on the spot, he knew that the pig shed was ventilated, the ground inside the shed was cold, and the wind-cold caused the disease.

The bricks and sand stacked in the farm are used to build pig sheds. Pig sheds built in the past are ventilated on all sides. After pigs released during the day are returned to the pen at night, it is easy to cause cold pigs. Song Tingpin is going to transform all the original pig sheds into pig pens, paying attention to the scientific nature of breeding and constantly improving the efficiency of breeding.

Song Tingpin said that they will gradually expand the scale of farming and have applied to establish a professional cooperative for farming under the forest.
