Cow selection method

A fine breed of cow

1. Holstein cattle: Holstein cattle originated in the Netherlands, with strong ability of acclimatization. Most countries in the world can raise them. After long-term domestication and systematic breeding in various countries, Holstein cattle with various characteristics have been bred, and named after the country, such as American Holstein cattle, Canadian Holstein cattle, Japanese Holstein cattle, Chinese Holstein cattle, etc., and their milk yield is the highest among all dairy cow breeds.

2. Juanshan cattle: Juanshan cattle are imported dairy cows from Jessie Island in the English Channel. The breed is related to Swiss brown cattle, Devon cattle and Kerry cattle in terms of bloodline, but has nothing to do with Holstein cattle. The precious cattle breed protected by the British government has the greatest advantage of thick milk quality. The milk fat and milk protein content are obviously higher than those of ordinary dairy cows, and the high quality milk protein content reaches more than 3.5%.

3. Gengsai cattle: Gengsai cattle belong to the medium-sized dairy product species, originated in the British island of Gengsai, and are famous for their high milk fat, high milk protein and high carotene content in milk. At the same time, it has the characteristics of high feed conversion efficiency per unit milk, short calving interval, early first calving age, tolerance to coarse feeding, easy grazing and good adaptability to warm climate.

4. Aierxia cattle: Aierxia cattle belong to medium-sized dairy cattle, originated in Ayrshire, England. It is one of the famous dairy cattle breeds. It is characterized by early maturity, coarse tolerance and strong adaptability. It has been exported to more than 30 countries such as Japan, the United States, Finland, Australia, Canada, new Zealand, etc. Many provinces and cities such as Guangxi and Hunan of our country have cited it. However, due to the rich spirit of this breed and difficult management, there are few purebred cattle nowadays.

5. Chinese Holstein cows: Chinese Holstein cows were called Chinese black-and-white cows before 1997. They were crossbred between Chinese yellow cattle and Holstein cattle introduced into China at that time in the late 19th century. After continuous breeding from 1970 to 1980, they gradually formed the highest milk yield, the largest number and the widest distribution of dairy cows in China. Under normal feeding conditions, most cows can produce milk at a certain level.
