Last Updated: 2024/11/22, Lao Tan, who has been growing pears all his life, has poor business this year, and who knows the bitterness behind it?

Lao Tan is not only a foreigner, but also a big local grower. According to him, his family has about 40 mu of land, mostly pear trees and persimmon grapes, but the main source of income is pears. They have been busy for pears all their lives. This is an industry handed down by the local people for generations.

Lao Tan and his aunt are affable people, usually talking and laughing with us, I asked my aunt: "there are so many places in your family, can you old couple come over?" Aunt said: "look at a lot, in fact, it is easy to take care of, we do not like the planting base as many procedures as complicated (shed, medication, fertilization …" Usually, when there are bugs, we administer medicine and drive away the birds. The busiest thing is when each pear needs to be bagged and picked, and when we climb a tree to pick pears, besides, our old couple have nothing to do all the year round. " (it's easy to say because they're used to it, so we don't have the time and patience.)

"do other people have so many pear trees? Why don't your children come to help? "

"as a matter of fact, our family has only 8 mu of farmland, and the rest are not planted by relatives and neighbors. The children are not willing to suffer this hardship, nor do they have the patience to go out to work."

After talking for a long time, we knew that the sales of their pears this year were only a little more than half of those of last year, because I also sold pears. This year's pears are indeed much cheaper than last year, and the pears shipped from other places are better-looking, delicious and cheaper than them. because in this way, they can only sell at a low price, and sell what they can sell for money (because the picked ones are put for a long time and consume a lot), so because the market is not good. The competitiveness is too great, and pear planting is no longer as profitable as it used to be. although the government has subsidized it (very little), many farmers have shelved or sold their land to others for development or asked others to take care of it (no one wants it. I'm afraid that pear trees will die and can only be given to people for free.), they don't bother to work, and they earn a little more money by working, so they all go out to work.

At first, I thought that in so much land, I should be able to make a lot of money at harvest, but now the situation is so bad. In fact, the resources of this industry are very good, but there is a lack of good talents to integrate and utilize (this is my point of view). For example, Dangshan is an example, where the pears are famous all over the country.

It can only be said that in this era, we no longer pay attention to characteristics or industry, but only pay attention to high-rise buildings, science, high-tech, the Internet. As a result, we young people are yearning for high-level development, unable to put down face and do some low-level things in a down-to-earth manner, and the land that gave birth to us and raised us will gradually be forgotten.
