This technology fills the gap in the original soil cultivation of vegetables in coastal saline-alkali land of Hebei Province.

The facility cultivation model of improving soil and reducing salt in coastal heavy saline-alkali land studied by the institute, mainly through the integration of ecological improvement, drip irrigation and salt reduction, hidden pipe salt discharge, and the integration of water and fertilizer, can rapidly reduce the soil salinity from more than 1.0% to less than 0.3% in 15 to 20 days, meeting the requirements for the normal growth of vegetable crops. At present, seven kinds of vegetables such as eggplant, tomato, cucumber, chili, asparagus and okra have been planted, which are growing well, and the safe production of facility agriculture in coastal heavy saline-alkali area has been basically realized.
