On the same day, an expert group entrusted by the Ministry of Agriculture measured the yield of a new rice variety Chujing 37 in Xiashihuiba Village, Kejia Village Committee, Jinshan Town, Lufeng County, Chuxiong Yi Autonomous Prefecture, Yunnan Province. Xie Huaan, leader of the expert group, academician of the Chinese Academy of Sciences and expert of the Fujian Province Academy of Agricultural Sciences, announced that the average yield per mu of the three randomly selected plots reached 995 kg. Chujing 37 has broken through the yield certification standard of "super rice" for three consecutive years.
