Recently, good news came from the yield measurement site of the early rice demonstration field of Chengxin Farm in Jiangxi Province. The average yield per mu of rice precision hole direct seeding technology and machine cutting reached 554.7 kg (dry grain), which preliminarily verified the feasibility of rice precision hole direct seeding technology and equipment in suitable areas of Jiangxi, and promoted the development of rice planting mechanization in Jiangxi.

This year, the Engineering College of Jiangxi Agricultural University and Jiangxi Chengxin Farm jointly applied the rice precision hole direct seeding technology and equipment developed by Academician Luo Xiwen of South China Agricultural University to carry out early rice promotion and demonstration. This technique can accurately and evenly distribute the budding seeds in the field according to the requirements of plant spacing, row spacing and the number of holes. Compared with artificial sowing, it has good ventilation and light transmittance and is not easy to be infected with diseases and insect pests.

It is understood that this year, Chengxin Farm in Jiangxi Province took the lead in carrying out mechanized precision hole direct seeding technology for early and middle rice with an application area of more than 660 mu. At the same time, the technical team cooperated in Poyang, Duchang, Ruichang, Xiushui, Jishui, Wanan, Fengcheng, Gao'an, Anyi and other counties to carry out mechanized precision hole direct seeding technology for early and medium rice with an application area of nearly 2000 mu.
