Science and Technology Daily News (Hu Lijuan) the problem that green tea cannot survive for a long time has been successfully solved. This is the old tea production technology developed with green tea as raw material and post-ripening process, which has the characteristics of stability, storage resistance and improving flavor. The product has been tested by the Tea quality Supervision and testing Center of the Ministry of Agriculture to meet the relevant national standards. This was recently learned from the scientific and technological achievements conference of the "Fragrance Old Tea production Technology" project held in Beijing.

It is understood that the old tea production technology uses green tea such as Longjing and Biluochun as raw materials, uniformly mixed and dried in proportion, sealed, protected from light, and stacked in a constant temperature room for more than 5 years to produce oxidation reaction. This will not only reduce the pesticide residues in the original tea, but also slightly increase the tea polyphenols, free amino acids and caffeine, thus effectively improve the quality of tea.

Song Yuan, a professor at China Agricultural University, said that the old tea production technology with independent intellectual property rights and green tea as raw materials has reached the leading level in China and has broad application prospects.
