New Technology of Potato Production

A few days ago, in order to expand the production scale of virus-free potato seed tuber, improve the production technology of mini-potato (original seed) and innovate the propagation mechanism of improved varieties, Zhuanglang County of Gansu Province successfully introduced the production technology of potato mini-potato (original seed)"fog culture method" for the first time. The production technology is that nutrient solution with a certain proportion is sprayed on the rhizosphere of potato plants in due time and in proper amount, so that the potato plants can obtain sufficient water and nutrients, thereby promoting the growth of potato mini-tubers.

In recent years, centering on the construction goal of building "the largest virus-free seed potato breeding base in eastern Gansu Province," Zhuanglang County has created an integrated industrial development pattern of potato "introduction, breeding, propagation, promotion, addition and marketing," and established a potato industry development system integrating potato breeding, stem-tip virus-free and tissue rapid propagation. The introduction and application of this technology will be of great significance to perfect Zhuanglang seed potato breeding system and enhance the development level of potato industry.
