Since mid-May, "Zhejiang fresh Peach" has been on the market one after another. Zhejiang peach has a cultivated area of nearly 410000 mu, which is expected to participate in international competition among the province's agricultural products. However, for a long time, Zhejiang peach trees have been plagued by "stubborn diseases." however, the reporter recently found that the disease, which has not been cured for a long time, has been effectively cured here in a peach orchard in Chun'an County, Zhejiang Province.

It is understood that the "stubborn disease" is called peach tree gum disease, which is divided into physiological gum flow and infectious gum. Its pathogenic factors are complex and the epidemic area is widespread, especially in the Yangtze River valley and other south peach producing areas in China. The so-called glue flow is often the rupture of blister spots on peach branches, the overflow of colorless, transparent and soft colloid, which oxidizes and condenses in the air and turns reddish brown after drying, the cortex and xylem become brown and necrotic, and the subcortex is filled with sticky glue.

Zhang Huiqin, a researcher at Zhejiang Academy of Agricultural Sciences, and her team, a total of six people, began to explore a complete set of technical regulations for prevention and control of peach gum disease in Chun'an, Zhejiang Province, and other three peach orchards in 2013, including the etiology, occurrence characteristics, symptoms and comprehensive prevention and control of peach gum disease. Over the past few years, through comparison, it was found that peach gum disease basically disappeared in the three pilot orchards.

How do you do it exactly? The reporter learned: in early winter, we should first plough the tree plate or soil in the industry to kill germs and pests that survive the winter underground, while scraping off the glue lump and rotten skin of the trunk and side branches, and then smearing the branches with fungicides, the purpose is to clear the garden and disinfect; in spring, after peach trees bloom, spray with chemicals several times, if glue has occurred, scrape first and then apply.
