The new apple variety "Asustek" has been approved.
A new disease-resistant, high-quality, early-and middle-ripe apple variety, Asustek, cultivated by the apple breeding research group of Zhengzhou Fruit Research Institute of the Chinese Academy of Agricultural Sciences, has passed the national forest variety approval a few days ago. This variety is a great progress in apple breeding in China, which changes the situation that the early and middle maturity varieties are mainly foreign varieties "Gala", and is expected to replace "Gala" to become the main variety of early and middle maturity in China.
