Chinese scientists have bred miniature pigs
Recently, the genome research of Shenzhen Huada Company has bred a miniature pig, which is genetically modified from a small breed of Bama pig and weighs 15 kilograms, which is about the size of a medium-sized dog. at first, they were bred as animal models of human diseases. Experts estimate that the price of these miniature pigs will cost at least 10,000 yuan.
By contrast, the original Bama pig weighs between 35kg and 50kg, while domestic pigs generally weigh more than 110kg. In the near future, consumers who buy miniature pigs may be able to choose different skin colors and styles through genetic editing technology.
