The second International Conference on Agricultural Genomics was co-sponsored by Shenzhen Institute of Agricultural Genomics, Institute of Genetics and Development of Chinese Academy of Sciences, and the British Journal of Natural Genetics. more than 300 well-known scholars at home and abroad conducted academic exchanges around agricultural genomics, seed resources and breeding.

Qian Qian, a former researcher, director of the Shenzhen Agricultural Genome Research Institute of the Chinese Academy of Agricultural Sciences, said that China has sequenced the genomes of about 70% to 80% of important crops, such as rice, wheat, corn, and cucumbers, and has initially mastered the functional traits of these crop genes, and the research level has been in the forefront of the world.
