Xinhua News Network (Reporter Wang Yuqin) on December 9, organized by Hebei Provincial Science and Technology Transformation Service Center and chaired by Hebei Education Department, 7 industry experts were invited to form an appraisal committee to identify the two scientific research achievements of "Research and Application of Nutrition needs of Meat Sheep (Dahan Hybridization)" and "Research and demonstration of large-scale and efficient breeding Technology of Mutton Sheep" completed by Hebei Agricultural University in Hengshui. The appraisal committee believes that these two achievements have reached the international advanced level in similar studies, which is of great significance to promote the rapid development of mutton sheep industry.

The innovation of the project "Research and Application of Nutrition needs of Meat Sheep (Daohan Hybridization)" is that through the experiments of feeding, digestion and metabolism and comparative slaughtering of lambs during the growing period (20,50kg), the optimal regression mathematical model of energy, protein and minerals was established, and the parameters of nutritional requirements of lambs were obtained. Through the experiments of feeding, digestion and metabolism and gas metabolism of pregnant and lactating ewes, the optimal regression mathematical model of energy and protein was established, and the energy and protein requirement parameters of breeding ewes were obtained. This result provides a basic basis for the formulation of feeding standards for mutton sheep in China.

The project "Research and demonstration of large-scale and efficient breeding Technology of Mutton Sheep" studied the microbial fermentation technology of green corn stalk. With the addition of appropriate amount of ammonium sulfate nitrogen source, the crude protein content of straw increased from 7% to 14.60%, the total amount of amino acids increased by 15.37%, and the digestibility increased to 80%. Feed acid detergent fiber (ADF) and neutral detergent fiber (NDF) decreased by 58.83% and 42.32%, respectively. The early weaning technology of lambs was studied, the weaning of 43 days old was realized, and the estrus synchronization treatment was carried out so that the estrus synchronization rate reached 95.65% and the lambing rate reached 210%. The intensive lambing mode of 3 years and 5 years after 60-70 days of postpartum breeding was realized. At the same time, the recombinant protein and clonal antibody of early pregnancy factor were prepared by molecular biology and cell fusion technology, and the early pregnancy diagnosis was realized within 1 week after mating, with an accuracy of 95%. These high-efficiency breeding techniques have been popularized and applied in large-scale sheep farm with the mode of "combined fist", and remarkable economic, social and ecological benefits have been obtained.
