On September 15, 3000 original sequencing data of rice core collection genome were unveiled for the first time in Changsha, Hunan Province, and with the implementation of the "Yunzhi Rice" project, shared data and analysis platforms were provided free of charge to the whole world. to provide information support for the new breeding technology of green super rice project.
The "Yunzhidao" project was jointly launched by the Chinese Academy of Agricultural Sciences, Ali Cloud Computing Co., Ltd., Huazhi Rice Biotechnology Co., Ltd., and Beijing Judao Science and Technology Co., Ltd. the project stems from the results of 3000 rice genome projects, an important part of the Green Super Rice project. The genome sequencing data of 3000 rice core collection resources from 89 countries around the world will gradually establish the most comprehensive "rice functional genome and breeding information database" through the implementation of the "Yunzhidao" project. to provide basic information resources for the basic research of rice genome and the renewal and application of rice breeding technology in the future.
According to Dr. Li Zhikang, chief scientist of the Green Super Rice project and Dr. Li Zhikang of the Institute of crop Science of the Chinese Academy of Agricultural Sciences, the overall goal of the Green Super Rice project is to cultivate new rice varieties that can be widely applied to the ecological environment of irrigation and rain-fed areas. new rice varieties with the characteristics of efficient use of nitrogen and phosphorus, disease resistance, insect resistance, high yield, high quality and stress resistance have been demonstrated and promoted in 17 countries in Africa and Asia, benefiting 20 million rice farmers from then on.

For example, the deficiency of the newly withdrawn variety "Liangyou 0293" is that the resistance to rice blast is relatively poor. With the help of the "Yunzhidao" project, 3000 rice genome research will not only find more disease resistance genes within 3 years, but also is expected to increase the blast resistance of new varieties to more than grade 3, so as to cultivate new rice varieties with relatively comprehensive yield and resistance. It promotes the adaptability of super rice varieties to be better and wider.
