It is understood that the Heilongjiang Academy of Agricultural Sciences has successfully selected and bred the first variety of herbaceous edible fungi in Heilongjiang Province-"Heinong bulb cover mushroom No. 1". Different from Auricularia auricula, Lentinus edodes, Pleurotus ostreatus and other strains with sawdust as the main cultivation raw materials, "Heinong bulb cover mushroom No. 1" is completely "herbivorous"-straw, corncob, livestock and poultry manure and other agricultural wastes can be used as raw materials and can be planted in open fields.
The shape of Pleurotus ostreatus is umbrella-shaped and the stem is thick. According to Ni Shujun, an expert from the Provincial Academy of Agricultural Sciences, "Heinong bulb cover mushroom No. 1" has been determined that the content of various amino acids and proteins is more than twice that of ordinary mushrooms, and the content of iron is several times higher. This variety can be planted in open field, can adapt to a wide range of temperature, and can be cultivated by interplanting corn, rice seedling shed and woodland. The average net income of open field production can reach 5000 yuan per mu. The waste after cultivation can be ploughed back to the field directly after mushroom, increase fertility, improve soil, avoid burning straw, thus realize the original ecology and pure natural production.
