Afterwards, Xu Daiquan learned that Liu Xiaogang had fallen heavily on the dark and slippery mountain road. After the rainstorm, Liu Xiaogang immediately helped him apply for national funds for the renovation of dilapidated houses and asked him to rebuild dilapidated houses.

Zhou Jinli, deputy director of the Shadui Village Committee, told the reporter that in order to coordinate the occupation of the road between the Liangshui group and the village committee in the last three months of Liu Xiaogang's life, he carried a "medicine jar" into the villagers' homes three times, and the villagers were moved by his spirit of serving the people wholeheartedly, so they actively cooperated. The town cadres spontaneously donated money for him to work and the farmers flew back to their hometown to visit.
