? Local writer Wang Kechen in Xunfeng Book House

Wang Kechen was admitted to Beijing No. 48 Middle School from the countryside in 1956. After graduating from junior high school, he was sent to our high school. He once swore: "from the moment I entered the middle school, I aimed at the Chinese Department of Peking University and became a writer in the future!" However, fate played a big joke on him: in the college entrance examination in 1962, the top students who were famous in the whole school failed. The answer to the riddle has not been solved so far, Wang Kechen smiled: it doesn't matter if you don't want to uncover it!

Wang Kechen resolutely returned to the countryside and learned Zhu Laozhong's mantra in the Red Flag Spectrum: "only when you come out of the water can you see the mud on your feet!"

When he returned to his hometown, he refused to rest for a day, starting from pulling moisture with the car, to beating the wall, pulling out wheat and cutting sorghum, braving the wind and rain, not afraid of fatigue, in a hurry, busy, getting out early and coming back late, pushing and grinding. Decades of rural life has trained Wang Kechen into a solid crop man. Heart to heart with the peasants, close to each other. He is sentimentally attached to the countryside and loves the farmers. he is determined to take the road of Zhao Shuli and Liu Qing, take deep roots in the countryside, write about the people and things around the peasants, write the words of the peasants, and be the spokesman for the peasants.

In the long road of literature, Wang Kechen never aims too high, but down-to-earth, like farmers farming the land, step by step a deep nest of feet.

Reading begins with historical stories, followed by modern writers who enjoy critical reviews in China, and finally, masterpieces at all times and at home. In writing, he took it one step at a time, starting from writing news, newsletters and features for newspapers, to writing essays, essays, literary essays and reportage for newspaper supplements, and finally entering novel creation. In the nine years from 2005 to 2014, after the successive publication of 144 short and medium-sized novels, the sister volumes of "Wind and Rain hometown" and "Cold Land" were created.

Wang Kechen is like a hard-ploughed peasant. He is convinced that people are not lazy when they work hard. They reap what they sow and reap what they sow. Therefore, never speculate and please others. He won a prize for writing communications and reportage, and even though he wrote "letters from readers", he chose his words carefully. A "letter from readers", sent to "People's Daily", was unexpectedly published on the first page. Through the broadcast of the News and newspaper Abstracts of the Central people's Broadcasting Station, it broke into the white mountains and black rivers and spread all over the south of the Yangtze River. The Song of the Heart, a collection of short stories published by him in 1990, is the first collection of literary works in Shunyi, which laid the first cornerstone of Chaobaihe local literature. In that year, he participated in the third Beijing International Book Fair and the Shanghai Book Market. Among the two novels written in the past years, "the Garden of Wind and Rain" won the Gold Award for novels of the 8th National Cultural Collection, the first Special Prize of Cangsheng Cup in Beijing, and the first first prize of Chaobai River Cup in Shunyi District. "Cold Ning Earth" won the Gold Award for novels commemorating the Chinese people's War of Resistance against Japanese aggression and the World Anti-Fascist War, and the first Haoran Literature Award. Wang Kechen has also won honorary titles such as "National people's Golden word-of-mouth", "National moral and Art Shuangxin Artist" and "people's Writer" in Renhe Town, Shunyi District. He joined the Beijing Writers Association in 1992 and joined the Chinese Writers Association in 2007, realizing his dream as a writer.

However, in front of these awards and honors, every time he had a knee-jerk conversation, he smiled: "I am a farmer first, and then a writer." Those foolish things don't make much sense. Writers always rely on their works to say things. Readers read works, regardless of whether you have won the Mao Prize or not. Tolstoy and Lu Xun did not win the Nobel Prize, and neither did Hao ran and Liu Shaotang. However, it is strange that their works still spread among the people. In fact, even if it is literature and grass-roots literature, as long as it is well written, readers still like it. "

Because Wang Kechen has been rooted in the countryside for a long time and integrated with the peasants, instead of bluffing to keep up with the situation and posturing, or to carry out the spirit perfunctorily, to "experience life" in a superficial way, let alone to perfunctorily deal with errands. Therefore, his works flow from the heart, with the local accent of body temperature and heartbeat, slightly meaningful, sincere and simple; they grow from the yellow soil, with the fragrance of crops and grass, vivid and fresh, fresh and natural, welcomed by rural readers. The first editions of short stories "Heart songs", reportage collections "Chaobai River sons and daughters", novels "Wind and Rain hometown" and "Cold Land" were soon sold out and had to be republished, which is the best proof.

Wang Kechen often said, "I have been stupid all my life. I can't shout, let alone hype." Some of my little books are destined to neither become bestsellers nor make money. As long as uncles, aunts, brothers and sisters like it, even if it is given away for free, I will be happy! "

Under the background of the surging market, Wang Kechen never moved, endured loneliness, braved hardships, and climbed hard on the cliff of literature. What is the reason? He solemnly replied: "Literature was indeed a personal hobby at first, but after spending a long time in literature, it gradually developed a sense of responsibility, a spirit of service and feelings of being naked, and regarded literary creation as a serious cause. Inheriting the classics from above and connecting with the earth below, we will write good stories for the people, create good characters who can be imitated, inherit the spirit of patriotism, and enhance the soul of people. "

Wang Kechen has the excellent quality of Chinese farmers, just like cattle ploughing land, he doesn't have to lift the whip to kick his feet. Diligent, down-to-earth, persevering and hard-working. From the novel collection "Heart songs" to the novel "Wind and Rain hometown" and "Cold Ning Earth" nine books, his readership has been set as farmers. Therefore, he always makes his creation adapt to the education level and appreciation habits of farmers, and strives to pursue popular, easy to understand, simple, good-looking, refined language and fresh charm. This is not only his simple pursuit but also his lofty goal.
