? Be the guide of Shanliwa.

The story of Bo Jirong, a rural teacher, who has been rooted in the mountains for 30 years.

"Zhu Fuyuan has become more beautiful; Gu Jinhao has done her homework very well." It is Bo Jirong's habit to praise children in the new semester. In her eyes, the child is like a seedling on a green hill, full of vitality. Bai Jirong is a rural teacher in Ganyu County, Lianyungang, Jiangsu Province. over the past 30 years, she has given up the opportunity to develop in a big city and is willing to be a guide to Shanliwa. She has the title of "national model teacher" and "good man in China", but she still maintains a simple and unadorned heart.

? Evergreen trees are welcomed in the hills.

A schoolhouse made of mud and straw, rickety doors and windows, tables and stools with missing arms and broken legs. This is the scene that Bai Jirong saw for the first time when he came to Dashu Village Primary School.

In August 1986, 21-year-old Bai Jirong graduated from Haizhou normal College in Lianyungang and was assigned to Dashu Village Primary School, Heilin Town, Ganyu County. Dashu Village is located in remote mountainous areas, poor mountains and bald mountains, notoriously poor. When Bai Jirong came into the classroom, the children gathered around excitedly. It turned out that the teacher could not be retained in Dashu Village. Before Bo Jirong came, the math class had been suspended for half a semester. When the headmaster Xiong Fangmian told the truth, Bo Jirong, who was born in the countryside, felt desolate.

"once a tree is born, stand there for the rest of your life with no regrets. Let me be such a tree!" That night, under the dim kerosene lamp, Bo Jirong recorded the track of his heart one stroke at a time, and his tears blurred his handwriting.

Since then, Bai Jirong began to live in the mountains, eating all kinds of food and living in dilapidated warehouses. Teaching is even more difficult: without teaching staff, she traveled a long way to the county to buy it; without teaching aids, she made it; doors, windows, tables and chairs were broken, and she led the children to repair them. The villagers said that the huts were becoming more and more like a school.

Over the past 30 years, the teachers of Dashu Village Primary School have come and gone, but Bai Jirong stayed. Relatives and friends took great pains to persuade her to go to the city for development, and some even called her a "fool" and "idiot" to her face, but Bo Jirong said, "the children in the mountains need me the most." It was this belief that supported her all the way.

Stick to the "husband and wife whistle" of the three-foot podium

In 1987, Bai Jirong met Xiong Chuanjing, who was also a rural teacher. They were like-minded and fell in love. After getting married, she gave birth to a son and a daughter, and the family was happy.

However, the family also faced collapse.

"Ji Rong, let's go to Shenzhen!" In 1993, Xiong Chuanjing decided to go south during the tide of doing business in the sea. "go if you want to go! I can't leave these kids. " Bo Jirong rebuffed. In her mind, the future of rural children is more important than life.

The two men had a big quarrel and broke up in discord. The next day, Xiong Chuanjing packed his bags and went to Shenzhen. Since then, although Bai Jirong repeatedly wrote to implore her husband to come back, Xiong Chuanjing was unmoved.

It was a "disaster" that unlocked Xiong Chuanjing's heart. One day in May 1994, Bo Jirong was preparing a lesson when a group of people rushed into the office with a child in their arms. When Bo Jirong took a closer look, he found that he was a son under the age of three. It turned out that when his son accidentally fell into the swift river while playing, it was Xiao Xu, a student with cerebral palsy, who jumped into the water and saved his son to the shore.

"how can you go when there are such good children here? Come back, let's continue to be village teacher husband and wife whistle. " That night, the letter Bai Jirong wrote did not sink into the sea as usual, but asked her husband to return to the mountain village. At that time, Xiong Chuanjing's studio business was booming. He said that it was the simplicity and kindness of the people in the mountains that moved him and made him willing to be a teacher again.

Bai Jirong dedicated the best years of his life to Shanliwa. She not only teaches and educates people, but also sets up a "caring support group" to take care of disabled children and become the "loving mother" of left-behind children. Pour bit by bit of love into every child in the mountain area.

Bo Jirong wrote in his diary: "for the children of the mountain area, I am willing to be a ferry all my life and send my students to the ideal shore one by one." (our reporter Zheng Jinming, our correspondent Chen Mianqing)
