Keelung Mayor Lin Youchang: promoting leisure agriculture and high unit price yam production

Keelung City held its annual Farmers' Day celebration meeting on the morning of the 16th. Mayor Lin Youchang was also present to award awards and praise the excellent agricultural group leader, and listened to the views of many farmers. Mayor Lin Youchang said that the city government will actively promote leisure agriculture. It will also provide guidance to characteristic agricultural products with high unit prices, such as yam, hoping to increase farmers' income.

Mayor Lin Youchang also pointed out that the focus of the municipal government in promoting agriculture this year is leisure agriculture, hoping to enable our agricultural products to be of high value. In particular, yam is a relatively high unit price and characteristic agricultural product in Keelung. Last year, the cultivated area also increased significantly, hoping to continue to expand and increase farmers' income. In addition, last year, the municipal government also promoted the construction of water pipelines and agricultural roads in rural areas, and the Maling Leisure Agriculture Center has also been renovated and will serve as a platform to promote related leisure agriculture in the future.

Among the honored personnel this year, the excellent agricultural team leaders are Su Teng, Chen Wang Ding Cai, Chen Junlong, Yang Weimin and Su Qingji; the model farmers are Lin Meizhu, Xu Liru, Weng Wengwengui and Chen Delang; the members of the agricultural vegetable class (including cadres) are Zhang Meifang, Huang Jinhe and Zhu Lixiang; and the members of the housekeeping improvement class (including cadres) are Chen Chunjiao and Zhong Xiuju. In addition, there are volunteer instructors of the four Health Association: Hu Zhiqiang and Wei Chuanyuan.
