Xinhua Shijiazhuang, August 16 (Fan Xiaofei) his name is Li Shichao, "post-80s" he is the dean of a welfare home. Over the past six years, he has sent warmth and love to nearly a hundred old people with patience and meticulous care. He often said, "everyone will grow old one day. I want to try my best to be kind to the elderly."

Li Shichao is from Xiaozhangzhuang Village, Xiguocheng Town, Julu County, Xingtai City. After going to college, Li Shichao had mixed feelings every time he came home and saw that the empty nesters in the village were left unattended.

In 2010, after graduating from university, he came up with the idea of setting up a welfare home: since these elderly people are unaccompanied, why not take advantage of their medical studies to set up a welfare home to help them enjoy their twilight years.

Just do it. Li Shichao, who is in his 20s, gave up the opportunity to work in a big city and, with the support of his family, opened the Jianmin Welfare Home, the first private welfare home in Julu County. "at first, there were only a few old houses in the welfare home. In order to save money, I bought paint, painted walls, and decorated myself. After the opening, the first batch of six elderly people moved in, of which five were five insurance households. " Li Shichao recalled that he thought of giving up in the most difficult time, but finally stuck with it because he was reluctant to give up the elderly who needed to be taken care of.

Since 2010, Li Shichao's nursing home has provided pension services for more than 140 elderly people. Help the old man wash his face, feed food, cut his nails and wash clothes. Although the daily work is tedious, Li Shichao never complains. He has always adhered to the belief of "treating every old man as a relative".

Chen Tongzhong and Li Shenglian have lived in welfare homes for four years. "Xiao Chao is like our own grandson, accompanying us every day. If you don't see him one day, you won't get used to it. " Speaking of Li Shichao, the 80-year-old couple's faces were covered with happy smiles.

"I have a bad heart, my wife has high blood pressure, and the child is not around. I don't have to worry about eating three meals a day. I have my blood pressure measured every day. I can see a doctor at any time when I get sick." Speaking of Li Shichao's welfare home, 72-year-old Chang Mianqin repeatedly praised.

Today, a total of 76 elderly people live in the Jianmin welfare home. During the day, old people gather around to play cards, play chess and sing operas. At night, they watch TV and chat with each other.

The satisfaction of the elderly is inseparable from Li Shichao's concern and dedication day after day. "whenever an old man celebrates his birthday, we always bring cakes and longevity noodles. In daily care, health records will also be established according to the physical condition of the elderly. " For Li Shichao, taking care of the elderly has long been a part of his life.

Li Shichao is full of confidence in the future of the welfare home. He believes that through efforts, the dream of "a sense of medical care and security for the elderly" will get closer and closer.
