Recently, Hao Deyou, a wheat planting expert from Hengshui City Institute of Agricultural Sciences, and Zhao Guangcai, a doctor of agronomy from the Crop Research Institute of the Chinese Academy of Agricultural Sciences and a wheat expert from the Ministry of Agriculture, came to the wheat fields of Cao Guangju and Cao Shibo, villagers of Qianying Village, Shenzhou City. The purpose of Hao Deyou's trip was to confirm the actual effect of "wheat mechanized ridge-free cultivation" that he had studied for many years in front of wheat experts from the Ministry of Agriculture.

Cao Guangju and Cao Shibo's wheat fields are separated by a small road. The geology is the same and the wheat seeds are the same. They have been watered twice and sprayed twice. The only difference is that Cao Guangju's family uses "wheat mechanized ridge-free cultivation", while Cao Shibo's family still uses traditional "row ridge planting". The two families packed the wheat into bags, measured the moisture content and weighed it. The average yield per mu of Cao Guangju's wheat field was 636.9 kg, while the average yield per mu of Cao Shibo's wheat field was 583.5 kg. The winner was "wheat mechanized ridge-free cultivation" planting.

Hao Deyou introduced: "The core of 'wheat mechanized ridge-free cultivation' technology is the uniform distribution of wheat plants, which is 'lawn type' wheat planting. Compared with the traditional 'row ridge planting', there are more seedlings, more ears, more uniform and strong single ears, and more ears. Normally, one mu of land will have 50,000 to 100,000 ears, with an average yield increase of 50 to 100 kilograms per mu."

At the scene, Zhao Guangcai, a doctor of agronomy from the Crop Research Institute of the Chinese Academy of Agricultural Sciences and a wheat expert from the Ministry of Agriculture, calculated that the geological, water and fertilizer conditions were the same, and the yield of "wheat mechanized ridge-free cultivation" was 53.4 kg per mu higher than that of "row ridge planting", with an increase rate of 9.15%. According to the market price calculation, the income could be increased by 106.8 yuan. This is not counting,"wheat mechanization ridge-free cultivation" will straw return to the field, rotary tillage, sowing, rolling and other four or five procedures into a process, but also can save about 50 yuan.

The "row ridge planting" method has never been questioned in the past, because it has been planted in this way for generations and families. Whether wheat can be planted without ridges, Hao Deyou has been exploring for many years. In 2006, he began to raise funds to set up a company, applied wheat joint broadcaster to ridge-free cultivation, and carried out wheat ridge-free cultivation experiment in 120 mu of land of Wang Yinhuan, a villager of Haojiazhuang Village, Wuqiang County, resulting in an average yield increase of 80.5 kg per mu. Hao Deyou succeeded!

Wheat experts from all over the country have tracked Hao De's footprints. For 8 consecutive years, experts from Hebei, Henan and Shandong provinces have received the results of yield measurement. The yield of wheat increased by 50~100 kg per mu, and the cost per mu was saved by 30~50 yuan, realizing efficient utilization of water, fertilizer and land. At present, Hao Deyou has obtained 16 national patents and 2 international patents, and "wheat mechanized ridge-free cultivation" has been promoted in 11 provinces and some African countries.
