Xie Baogang, 31, a native of Balitun Village, Liuzhimiao Town, Hengshui County, had a dream of flying when he was a child. Since 2003, he began to build his own airplanes. After 13 years of unremitting efforts, the eighth generation of aircraft he built finally successfully flew into the blue sky, and his dream for many years was realized.

In 2003, 18-year-old Jie Baogang opened a shop in Texas to process plastic doors and windows. while he was busy with his business, he never forgot his childhood dream of flying. Usually while doing business, while studying the production technology of airplanes. "at that time, my family often said that I was not doing my job, and if I didn't do my business well, I had to study airplanes." Looking back on the experience of building airplanes in the past few years, Jie Baogang was very pleased with his persistence.

In 2009, Jie Baogang saw the news of man-made aircraft on the Internet and came up with the idea of building his own plane. As soon as the idea was put forward, it was opposed by the family. "at that time, my eldest daughter was about to be born, and I was determined to build a plane as a gift for my daughter." Just do it. Jie Baogang refers to the aircraft manufacturing technology at home and abroad, then integrates his own ideas into it, and makes his own designs and drawings. Except that the engine is imported from Austria, each part is cut, welded, processed and shaped by himself. After more than four months of dull work, the first plane built by Jie Baogang came out. Due to the lack of flight experience, the flight test failed, but Jie Baogang did not lose heart, continue to find the cause, in-depth study, and continuous improvement.

On December 20, 2012, the CCTV crew of more than 50 people came to Jingxian County to produce a large-scale motivational film "I have been silent for a long time" for Jie Baogang, which has become the most successful motivational film on CCTV. "over the years, I am the only one who knows the hardship of building airplanes, and it is false to say that it is not difficult." The family saw that Jie Baogang had really built a plane, and it was getting better and better. They no longer complained that he often delayed business because he was addicted to building airplanes, and unanimously supported Xie Baogang to realize his dream of flying.

At the end of last year, the yellow single-man spin-wing aircraft in the picture was completed, which is the eighth generation aircraft made by Jie Baogang. "this aircraft has excellent performance, high safety factor, and has all kinds of functions, such as GPS, constant speed cruise flight, and so on." At the same time, after 80 hours of study and practice, Xie Baogang obtained a flight driver's license. The plane can take off after a run-up of 30 to 50 meters, with a maximum speed of 200km / h, a maximum range of 400km with fuel and a flight limit of about 5000 meters. I drove it to attend aviation festivals held in Ningxia, Tianjin and Shandong. " Jie Baogang not only realized his childhood dream of flying, but also provided technical help for other rotor aircraft manufacturers. Since his plane was reported by the media, some people have come to buy his aircraft accessories.

Now, Jie Bao has just begun to manufacture the 9th generation of aircraft accessories. "on the basis of the 8th generation, we have made improvements and strived for perfection." In Jie Baogang's eyes, building airplanes has become an indispensable part of his life. He said confidently: "I will continue to conduct in-depth studies to expand the scope of aircraft use to patrolling, testing high-voltage lines, aerial photography, aerial survey, fire fighting, and so on, so as to provide better air services for ground facilities."
