But at present, some villagers in Guanghan City, Sichuan Province are worried: recently, there are too few carrot buyers and the prices offered are so low that the village cannot sell more than 1300 mu of land and produce about 10 million jin of carrots at all. Why are the carrots here unsalable under the booming carrot market all over the country?

After a whole morning's work in the fields, Huang Bangmin, a villager from Chuanjiang Village, Lianshan Town, Guanghan City, Sichuan Province, pulled out hundreds of jin of fresh carrots with a good appearance. The buyer offered a price of 55 cents per jin, compared with the other 2 or 3 cents per catty. This is already a high price. These baskets of carrots sold for a total of 185 yuan, but Lao Huang couldn't be happy.

The second group of Chuanjiang Village where Huang Bangmin is located is close to the Yazi River. this large area of dam land is formed by the alluvium of the river for many years, the soil is loose and fat, and there is a tradition of growing carrots for generations. Huang Bangmin told reporters that cashing out the carrots in the field was the income that the villagers longed for most a year ago.

Huang Bangyun: delicious, it brings back sweetness. If you say that you can't sell it, you will lose even more, and you will definitely lose a lot. Just say that when people cut bacon during the Spring Festival, we all have no money to buy meat.

Huang Bangyun calculated an account for the reporter. This year, he planted more than 10 mu of carrots, with a yield of 6 to 7 kilograms per mu. Based on the highest price he has sold in the past, his income can reach 60,000 to 70,000 yuan, but this year's average purchase price of less than 40 cents has directly halved his income.

Huang Bangyun: only when it is sold for at least 80 cents a jin can the farmers make a certain profit. If you sell it for thirty or forty cents or twenty or thirty cents a jin, it is purely unprofitable. There is no profit at all. When it is sold for 80 cents a jin, farmers will like it very much.

Chuanjiang Village has four groups of villagers, planting carrots covering an area of more than 1300 mu. Villagers said that this year's carrot harvest is expected to reach 10 million jin. Is there a situation of unsalable carrots all over the country? According to Bian Tingting, an analyst at Zhuochuang Information, the market for carrots is relatively good nationwide in autumn, and there has indeed been a relatively slow sale of carrots this spring, but due to a reduction in production in some areas, sales of autumn carrots are good at present, and the price of the place of origin is also on the high side.

Bian Tingting: at present, the overall carrot market in the country is relatively good. Take Sunying Township, Tongxu County, Kaifeng, Henan Province as an example, the purchase price of carrots is 0.5 to 0.6 yuan per jin, and the price of fine fire is 1.0 to 1.1 yuan per jin, which is at least half higher than that of the same period last year. Now the acquisition enthusiasm of cold storage buyers is high, resulting in the overall market preference of carrots.

Why is it difficult to sell carrots in Guanghan, Sichuan, when the market for autumn carrots is so good across the country? According to Qin Wenji, a local buyer, recently, non-local carrots have taken the lead in listing, accounting for a large share of the local market in Guanghan. Now they can only sell all local carrots to other places, once the weather gets colder and the temperature drops. Local carrot prices are expected to pick up.

Qin Wenji: it has something to do with the weather this year. There have been several frosts by this time last year. According to last year's market, it is at least 80 cents or 90 cents. This year, the weather is too warm. If you put on two or three more frosts and get cold, the price will naturally go up.

Bian Tingting, an analyst, believes that the slow sales in Guanghan, Sichuan is due to poor information, and many businessmen do not know that there are carrots in this area. She suggested that while strengthening online publicity, the local government and relevant enterprises can be docked to broaden the sales channels of carrots.
