Chen Qingwen, a pig farmer at Wanhe Farm in Anqing City, told reporters that the price of local pigs per jin increased by 1 yuan over the previous month, reaching 8.5 yuan. The rising trend will continue until the Spring Festival.

Pig prices will pick up further.
