Last Updated: 2024/11/06, Hong Yunhai planted the field of conscience with his heart.

Hong Yunhai, a major grain grower in Tonggong Township, Changshan County, is a well-known expert at farming. In 2016, he transferred 750mu of land and made a profit of 350000 yuan, making him one of the leading grain growers in the county.

The tractor driver embarked on the road of growing grain

"farming is scientific and conscientious." On January 20, at Hong Yunhai's Lehai Family Farm, he told reporters that 750 mu of land was transferred last year, including 300 mu of early and late rice, 400 mu of ratoon rice, and more than 50 mu of single cropping rice. Excluding the cost, the profit from growing grain is 350000 yuan. "with state policy subsidies, it is OK to grow grain."

Hong Yunhai, a 40-year-old from Jinchuan Yuan Village, Tonggong Township, is a well-known expert at farming.

"the fact that I was able to grow grain on a large scale was inseparable from my father's support." Hong Yunhai said that when rural land was contracted to households, his family was allocated more than 7 mu of fertile land. His father, Hong Shunguo, was an expert at farming. Later, by leasing, he had grown to more than 20 mu of grain fields in 2000.

Hong Yunhai was originally a tractor driver running and transporting. influenced by his father, he had a certain technical basis for growing grain. In 2003, while running transportation, he ploughed 20 mu of land with his parents and wife.

"in 2004, in order to catch up with the farming season, we bought a harvester, and I stopped running transportation and concentrated on growing grain." The husband and wife of Hong Yunhai are educated, the father has the experience of growing rice, and the new and the old are combined. After more than a decade of hard work, it was the son who helped the father grow grain, but now the father helps the son grow grain, thus realizing the replacement of the new and the old.

Scientific management and mechanized grain growing

"I really tasted the sweetness of mechanized farming, which began with growing rape on a large scale." In 2007, Hong Yunhai contracted more than 500 mu of land to grow early rice. During that time, he planted more than 100 mu of rape.

He said that he dared to grow so much rape at that time, it all depended on machinery. Use machinery to open the ditch, and then direct the rape seeds to the soft fields. When the rape was ripe, he turned on the harvester and finished the harvest in two days, saving labor and time and reducing labor costs. "the price of rapeseed oil was good that year, with a profit of 400 yuan per mu." After that, he has to grow 100 to 200 mu of rape every year.

In 2010, Hong Yunhai began to explore the scientific grain planting model of "early rice + ratoon rice". In that year, the yield of early rice reached 450 kg per mu, and the yield of ratooning rice reached 150 kg per mu.

After years of practice, in 2016, the average yield of early rice and ratoon rice per mu reached 550 kg and 325 kg respectively. "to increase the yield of ratooning rice, the key is to fertilize the field." Hong Yunhai said that in the week before the early rice harvest, he would apply 15 kilograms of urea to one mu of field, and after the early rice harvest, he would apply fertilizer again. It is precisely because of the high fertility of the soil that the recycled rice grows vigorously.

In 2013, Hong Yunhai founded the Changshan Lehai Family Farm, which realized the magnificent turn of expanding the scale of farming, standardizing the management step by step and mechanizing the production as far as possible. Nowadays, the farm is mechanized all the way from farming, sprouting, raising seedlings, transplanting, pest control and disease prevention, harvesting, transportation, drying, storage and so on.

There are joys and sorrows in the field of "conscience".

"in the past, when growing grain on a large scale, the most difficult thing was to dry rice." In 2007, his early rice planting area reached more than 500 mu, calculated according to 400 kilograms of wet grain per mu, which means manual drying of more than 200,000 kilograms of grain, which requires a lot of drying.

While harvesting, he transported the wet valley to the door of the factory building in Xindu Industrial Park, 3 kilometers away from the village, and turned it out in the morning and put it away in the evening before drying for three consecutive days. One day in late July, the sky was clear in the morning, and it changed at noon. Suddenly, the strong wind began to rain cats and dogs, and the 20,000 kilograms of rice sunburned at the gates of various factories were immediately scattered by the storm, causing a direct economic loss of more than 40,000 yuan.

In 2009, he transferred more than 800 mu of land to grow grain. After the rice was harvested, during the day, he and his father harvested the rice and basked the rice on the road. At night, he built a shed by the roadside and took turns to keep a vigil and slept for four months.

"it's never been hard before." The following year, Hong Yunhai made up his mind to build a warehouse and buy a dryer.

Through site selection, planning, and examination and approval, he plans to build a warehouse that integrates the placement of agricultural machinery, storage of rice, mechanical seedling raising, and grain drying. The capital investment in building the warehouse is 800000 yuan, plus the equipment investment is 600000 yuan, a total of 1.4 million yuan. In addition to raising and adding bank loans, there is still a shortfall of NT $800000, and the couple went from mother-in-law to mother-in-law, from friends to colleagues, from day to night to raise money everywhere. In the face of hardship, Hong Yunhai said: "many irresistible natural disasters and troubles in the process of development have to be overcome, overcome and solved on their own."

To solve the problem of drying rice and storing grain, the road of growing grain scientifically is getting wider and wider, and the heart is getting sweeter and sweeter.

"now, I have three sets of rice seedling production lines and four dryers." Hong Yunhai told each other that the area of raising rice seedlings reaches 5000 mu every year. In addition to baking rice for his own farm, he also dries more than 1000 tons of rice for farmers, and pays 200000 yuan in wages for employees every year.

"growing grain should not only be scientific, but also conscientious. When I grow rice, the prevention of diseases and insect pests is dominated by unified prevention. I only control pests twice, and the quality of rice is at ease and delicious. " What pleases Hong Yunhai most is that in recent years, high-quality rice on the farm has been sold for 10 yuan a kilogram.

In 2016, he planted 50 mu of japonica rice at a price of 10 yuan per kilogram, and has sold more than 10,000 kilograms of rice, leaving only 10,000 kilograms of rice unsold.

"this year, it is estimated that seedling raising will begin in March and 700 mu of early rice will be planted." Hong Yunhai is becoming more and more confident in growing grain.
