Raise "mobile sheep" to get rid of poverty and become rich and jubilant

On January 22, Jiren Bayar was grazing his sheep.

"Four years ago, I was still destitute and worried all day about how to marry my son." The 54-year-old herder, who lives in Bayanhu Sumu, Xiwuzhumuqin Banner, Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region, said that three or four years ago, his family was still a typical poor household, but in just a few years, his family's annual income quadrupled. Not only did he live in a newly renovated house, his son married a beautiful daughter-in-law and added a lovely grandson the year before last.

What quickly changed Jirenbayar's life was a flock of sheep "floating" between poor herders on the steppe. Since 2013, Xiwu Banner has allocated 10 million yuan every year to implement the "mobile herd" poverty alleviation project, providing basic ewes worth 40,000 yuan for each poor household with small livestock and signing a breeding development agreement. Four years later, the government will take back the basic ewes, but the lambs bred during this period belong to poor households. The recovered base ewes continue to "flow" to other poor households to help them get rich.
