When it comes to beekeeping, Zhang Meiqin is happy. She said it had to start with her marriage. In the early 1980s, Zhang Meiqin followed her parents to Jianning to do business. "We are from Zhejiang. My father makes clothes. " Zhang Meiqin said that Jianning has good air and is very suitable for life. Over the years, she and her family have fallen in love with life here and married Yu Aihui, a native of Daijia Village.

After getting married, she and her husband worked the land at home. "at that time, neither of us had experience in farming and could not earn much money all year round." Zhang Meiqin said.

If you can't farm, you have to find another way out. In 1989, with the introduction of relatives, she and her husband went far from home to Luquan County, Kunming, Yunnan, to learn beekeeping skills.

"it is an ethnic minority area where flowers bloom all the year round and the species of bees are very good." Zhang Meiqin said that at the beginning of beekeeping, many bees suffered from chalk disease due to the influence of bad weather. This is a stubborn fungal infection. Because he didn't know how to use medicine, 120 cases of bees lost more than half.

The failure of beekeeping for the first time did not make Zhang Meiqin lose confidence. "if everyone else can succeed, why can't we?" In 1994, Zhang Meiqin, who did not admit defeat, restarted beekeeping with her husband and got a return that year: 120 cases of bees with a net income of 50,000 yuan.

To engage in aquaculture, first of all, the technology must be excellent. "if you want to raise bees well, flowers are the key. They should not only reduce costs, but also be conducive to the growth of bees and ensure the quality of honey. This is a secret!" She said that in fact, beekeepers are very hard. They go wherever the flowers bloom, have no fixed abode, wander around, and deal with mountains all the year round.

After more than 20 years of exploration, Zhang Meiqin has changed from an ordinary peasant girl to a "queen bee". Today, Zhang Meiqin's beehives have grown from more than 100 cases at the beginning to more than 1200 cases, with an annual output of more than 60 tons of honey, and the mobile car has also grown from one truck at the beginning to three trucks at present.

Playing e-commerce, honey fragrance floats thousands of miles.

Over the years, because of beekeeping in other places, Zhang Meiqin sold honey in wholesale form. In October 2016, Zhang Meiqin returned to Lixin Town, Jianning County and learned from friends that the town had set up an e-commerce service center in Fujian and Jiangxi, which could train trainees free of charge and sell agricultural products online.

Hearing this, Zhang Meiqin was very happy and came to the service center that afternoon. With the help of Fujian-Jiangxi e-commerce staff, he registered the "love of bees" Taobao store in Jianning County.

In order to run the online store well, Zhang Meiqin began to practice typing, uploading product photos, designing store pages, and so on. Zhang Meiqin said that now, her online store sells six series of honey products at different prices and varieties.

"this is Robinia pseudoacacia honey as first-grade honey, like this rape honey as second-grade honey and buckwheat honey as third-grade honey." In front of the computer, Zhang Meiqin pointed to different products to introduce to us.

Like bees, Zhang Mei's hard work will be rewarded sweetly. Her authentic honey and royal jelly attracted many customers. In only half a month, her online store sold more than 30 products.

"now, not only am I a 'web savvy', but my son is also selling his own products online." Zhang Meiqin said with a smile, "he reads a lot and knows how to manage. He is my master." Originally, we are engaged in wholesale offline, and now he wholesale online, a year down, can sell more than 200,000 yuan of products.

Zhang Meiqin has plans for the future. Next, she plans to open her own factory for deep processing of bee products. She said that now is the Internet era, we have to learn to transform, if we want to do a good job in beekeeping, we must use e-commerce platform to sell to the whole country.
