The supply of chicken sold on the Internet exceeds the demand.
As the Spring Festival approaches, more and more customers buy native chickens online. Yan Qinghua, a villager in Lianhua Village, Shuanglu Town, Fengdu County, is very busy. On January 21, when the author went to the interview, he was trapping native chickens by feeding, preparing to be vacuum packed and delivered with ice bags after slaughter.
Lianhua Village is more than 1100 meters above sea level, with rich forest vegetation, fresh air and sparsely populated land. In April 2016, Yan Qinghua took advantage of local favorable conditions to raise native chickens according to local conditions, and invested more than 300,000 yuan in purchasing related equipment and facilities. The native chicken he raised grew up without hormones or feed, but mainly grew up on wild woodland. The meat was delicious and the soup was rich, which was much better than that of broilers.
At present, the weight of more than 8000 native chickens raised by Yan Qinghua has reached about 4 jin one after another, which is the best time to get out of the column. It is understood that recently, the price of local chicken on the market has risen to a maximum of 24 yuan / jin. Although roads have been built in the village to lead to the town and county, the retail sales of native chickens are not large because of the long distance.
"in view of this situation, my brother and sister-in-law took the initiative to help me open up channels to sell native chickens online. At first, customers still had doubts, but we always did business with the concept of integrity, and business gradually improved, especially in recent days. More than 50 customers buy native chicken from us every day." Yan Qinghua said that at present, more than 3000 native chickens have been sold online.
It is understood that Yan Qinghua online sales of local chickens, each live weight has reached 4 jin, the retail price (including packaging and express fees) 128 yuan per chicken. Due to the large online sales, Yan Qinghua was too busy and hired a labor force to slaughter native chickens. He and his family are only responsible for packing and then delivering them to the county through express delivery. The goods are usually delivered on the same day and can be received by customers outside the city on the third day.
"according to the information currently available, it is expected that there will be a peak in online sales of native chicken in the first three days of New Year's Eve, which is likely to sell about 300 a day. We are fully prepared to ensure that native chicken is delivered to customers in a quick and timely manner." Yan Qinghua said.
