Qin Hazelong, a biology major from Nanjing Forestry University, chose to return to his hometown, Qutang Town, Haian County, Jiangsu Province, to start his own business and grow gerbera. After more than 7 years of painstaking research, she has mastered the core technologies such as the cultivation and preparation of African chrysanthemum seedlings and electric constant temperature, so that the cultivated African chrysanthemum seedlings have the characteristics of strong disease resistance and high rooting rate. At present, Qin Hazelong provides about 400000 African chrysanthemum seedlings to the domestic market every year, with an income of more than 300,000 yuan. At the same time, she also held a training course to teach African chrysanthemum bottled seedling techniques to local villagers and lead them to the road to wealth. It is understood that African chrysanthemum seedlings are very delicate, and once germs or viruses invade in the process of cultivation, it can easily lead to the death of the whole batch of seedlings. At present, there are only about 10 enterprises or individuals engaged in African chrysanthemum breeding in China. Issued by Xinhua News Agency (photo by Li Cungen)
