Interview with party representatives

Interview with Ren Qingsheng, Party Representative and Party Branch Secretary of Dinglou Village, Daji Town, Cao County

"our city regards e-commerce as an important breakthrough in industrial transformation and overtaking, and the 2017 Taobao Village Summit Forum in China will be held in Heze." on February 15, on the sidelines of the meeting, Ren Qingsheng carefully studied the work report of the municipal party committee in his room. He looked at the words about e-commerce again and again.

As the party branch secretary of Dinglou Village, Daji Town, Ren Qingsheng is the "person who eats crabs first" in the field of Taobao in the rural areas of our city, and his experience is a microcosm of the rapid development of e-commerce in our city. As the only peasant representative in the presidium of the conference, Ren Qingsheng was particularly proud.

"in 2013, Ding Lou Village was named China's' Taobao Village'by the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences and Ali Group at the first Taobao Village Summit Forum in China. In 2015, our village registered 30 performing costumes and dance shoes Co., Ltd., 32 newly developed Taobao merchants, 810 Taobao online stores, 860 online and offline employees, and online sales of 90 million yuan. In 2016, the e-commerce sales of Dinglou Village exceeded 200 million yuan." When it comes to the development of e-commerce, Ren Qingsheng, who is not good at words, goes on and on.

However, in the 1990s, Dinglou Village was a well-known poor village. Like most young people in the village, Ren Qingsheng has been going out to work. "I went to Shanxi to work in a coal mine, and I also worked as an electrician in Zibo. If you work hard, you can't save much money." Ren Qingsheng said: after working hard for a year, apart from the expenses of chemical fertilizers, seeds, and children's school, there is no balance at all, and children cannot afford to wear new clothes during the Spring Festival.

With no technology and a low level of education, Ren Qingsheng can only do manual labor at the construction site. In a handling of materials, a steel nail penetrated the soles of Ren Qingsheng's feet. Because he was reluctant to spend money on bandaging, Ren Qingsheng treated the wound with earth methods. After only a morning's rest, he limped up the rickshaw.

Until 2010, by chance, Ren Qingsheng and his wife learned something new about the online store. In April of that year, they used the assembly computer bought by 1400 yuan to start the business of selling photographic clothing. Unexpectedly, in the first business, they sold 36 clothes and earned more than 600 yuan.

Having tasted the benefits of "touching the net," Ren Qingsheng then shifted his energy to the Internet, opening an online shop, issuing orders, and delivering goods. Over the course of a year, he actually made more than 6000 yuan. Ren Qingsheng has more than 4 mu of land, with an annual income of up to 1000 yuan per mu. Just sitting in front of the computer, less than eight months, unexpectedly more than two years of income, which has strengthened Ren Qingsheng's confidence in e-commerce.

In 2011, Ren Qingsheng received an order for 1000 costumes from a school in Humen, Guangdong. At that time, there were only four family workshop production sites in the village, which could not be produced at all. "the cooked duck flew again," and Ren Qingsheng had to give up the order.

Subsequently, he set up a simple workshop in his own house, recruited five or six employees to start making performance costumes, registered his own company in April 2013, and last year, Ren Qingsheng registered a trademark with sales of nearly 10 million yuan.

From being reluctant to buy new clothes for children during the Spring Festival, to annual sales approaching NT $10 million, Ren Qingsheng completed his life "counterattack" from farmer to boss. At the same time, in Dinglou Village, the number of people engaged in the e-commerce industry like Ren Qingsheng is growing geometrically. "now there are 310 families in the village, of which more than 280 are engaged in Taobao, accounting for more than 90% of the total number of households in the village." Ren Qingsheng said that the poor who do not have the ability to open an online shop

Personnel, such as older people, can be engaged in cutting, plate buttons, sticky embroidery and other work.

"Last Spring Festival, the villagers in our village bought nine more cars at a price of about 300000. Now almost every family in the village has cars," says Ren Qingsheng, speaking of the changes in the village.

"this year, I will not only consolidate the domestic market, but also make efforts to open up foreign markets. at the same time, I also want to lead the villagers to develop characteristic agriculture, carry out deep processing of agricultural products, sell with the help of the Internet platform, and then build the integrated land into a picking garden and an ecological park, so as to really build our village into a beautiful village. Ren Qingsheng is full of confidence in the future development. Written by Liu Yang
