There is a famous cattle-raising "talent" in Yanglang Village, Guyuan City. When it comes to him, the villagers can't help giving a thumbs up. He is Wang Weiwei. As a young man, because of his dealings with cattle, he not only embarked on the road to wealth, but also led the villagers to fight against poverty.

To be a conscientious person, raising cattle can make you rich.

Wang Weiwei, 34, began to work as a carpenter after graduating from junior high school. although he was young, he had a lot of ideas. at that time, many villagers went out to work one after another. unwilling to leave his hometown, he borrowed 5,000 yuan from his family to set up a small family workshop to produce and sell wood products. I didn't expect that the business situation was still good. After several years of hard work, he had savings of hundreds of thousands of yuan. After a few years, Wang Weiwei found that the timber business was becoming more and more difficult, and many places were being replaced by steel. Since 2011, he has tried to work as a part-time worker in Guyuan, holding bricks and live cement, earning only 25 yuan a day, not to mention hard work, and is often scolded and aggrieved. In desperation, he went back to the village to learn to be a carpenter and did some small farming at home. At that time, all the farmers in the village had a tradition of raising cattle, and Wang Weiwei made up his mind to raise cattle.

In 2014, Wang Weiwei took out his savings of more than 200,000 yuan, cobbled together another 400000 yuan, built a 1000-square-meter bullpen and raised 70 cattle. "at that time, the beef cattle market was very good. One of my cattle sold at a high price of 15000 yuan, with a net profit of 3000 yuan each. I made a profit of more than 200,000 yuan that year." Wang Weiwei tasted the benefits of raising cattle and found the first bucket of gold. at that time, he also won the support of the government, expanded the cowshed, set up Weiwei family farm, and became a cattle king in the village.

Study hard and ask an expert at raising cattle.

In the process of raising cattle, Wang Weiwei adhered to the road of scientific breeding and often explored and learned new methods and techniques. He often has video conversations with aquaculture experts in cities and counties through the call center for agriculture, rural areas and farmers set up in the village. After years of groping, Wang Weiwei changed from a layman to an expert in raising cattle.

Today, he has a schedule for putting fodder for cattle every day; he writes it down in a notebook for every epidemic prevention; and when he gives birth, he writes it on the cow breeding record registration card. Wang Weiwei fertilized the crops with cow dung and fed corn to the cattle, thus realizing the sustainable utilization of the economy. He also mistakenly hit to achieve a bright spot of saving cost and increasing efficiency, because he felt that it was too troublesome to thresh and core cattle feed with corn, so he put the whole corn and corn straw into the feed machine to make feed. "once the expert came to see that my cow looked good and asked me what I was fed. I said uncored corn. Experts said that the protein content of corncob is second only to corn kernels, and I did the right thing by mistake. " Wang Weiwei said with a smile.

You can't leave your folks on the way to get rich.

"although our village became the first '100 million yuan village' in the southern mountain area ten years ago, there is still a large gap between the rich and the poor and an imbalance in income, and we still have 83 poor households." Cao Hui, secretary of the village branch of Yang Lang, told reporters that Wang Weiwei himself has become rich, but he has not forgotten his fellow villagers.

Since August 2016, six archival card holders in the village have placed cattle bought with savings or state loans on Wang Weiwei's family farm. Yang Bao, in her fifties, was the only one in the family. Her children were all working outside, and her wife was gone. It was inconvenient for her to build a cowshed and feed her, so she left three cows with Wang Weiwei. "I can rest assured that we come to see it once every ten days and a half months, which is much better than what we raise ourselves!" Yang Bao told reporters. If the cattle that the villagers keep here with Wang Weiwei have calves, they can either ask Wang Weiwei to contact the seller or sell them to him when they grow up. "you help with it for free, but you don't charge them?" The reporter asked Wang Weiwei. "they are all from our village, and the conditions are not good. If they can give me a hand, how can I charge them money? After the cattle are sold, I will collect the forage money and give them the rest of the money. "

Wang Weiwei also hired two families from the village to work as full-time keepers on the family farm. "you can earn about 18000 a year as a full-time breeder, and now they are out of poverty." Wang Weiwei said happily.

In October 2016, Wang Weiwei was elected as the deputy village secretary of Yang Lang Village. "Thank you especially for your trust in me. Last year, I built two new cowsheds. Now my greatest wish is to expand the breeding scale to 500, so that the villagers can join us and help everyone lead a good life." Talking about his plans for the new year, Wang Weiwei said seriously.
