"Local method production, modern packaging, network sales." This is Wang Guochang's way of "fried beans".

Wang Guochang, who lived in the mountainous area of Huangzhong County, Xining, the provincial capital since childhood, is well aware of the hardships of peasant life. After graduating from university, Wang Guochang, who has worked hard in the tourism industry for 11 years, is not satisfied with this. Under the new normal of "mass entrepreneurship and mass innovation", with a strong "rural complex", he resolutely quit his stable job in the city and chose to return to his hometown to start a business.

With the support and encouragement of the Haizigou township government, Wang Guochang saw the advantages of planting broad beans and developing broad bean industry in Haizigou.

Haizigou Township is located in the shallow mountain area, with long light time and short frost-free period, and most of the fertilizers are organic fertilizers. Broad beans and peas have the characteristics of full beans, high protein content, low sugar content, low fat content and so on. it is a pure natural green organic product; in addition, the local villagers have a history of "fried beans" for 30 years, and the fried broad beans and peas taste crisp and delicious.

Wang Guochang said: broad beans in Haizigou Township are very famous, but not many farmers rely on this to get rich. If we extend the industrial chain, increase the added value of products, and form a characteristic industry of broad bean deep processing, it will not only be a business opportunity with boundless means of "money". And it can help local farmers shake off poverty and become rich and kill two birds with one stone.

Just do it. In 2015, after returning to Zongbao Village, Haizigou Township, Wang Guochang established Huang China Chang Agriculture and Animal Husbandry Development Co., Ltd., leading local farmers to engage in planting, breeding and processing of agricultural products, with emphasis on the in-depth development of broad bean planting and processing industry. a 2000 square meter broad bean processing workshop has been built. In the meantime, he got a start-up loan and applied for the trademark "Zongbao Jindou". Huang Zhongjin bean breeding cooperative was also established in 2016 to cooperate with farmers in Haizigou Township to develop order agriculture and purchase broad beans planted by farmers, which has now formed an industrial chain of seed, production, supply and marketing.

The small broad bean, in the hands of Wang Guochang, has miraculously become a "rich bean", which has also led the poor households in Haizigou to shake off poverty and become well-off.

As a peasant family in Zongbao Village, Haizigou Township, Wang Hongchang, who has not been to university, does not want to repeat the life footprints of his parents. To this end, he used to work around Xining, but his annual income was less than 20,000 yuan. For Wang Hongchang, who has old people at the top and children at the bottom, he is barely living. After entering the cooperative, he began to work in front of his home, grew soybeans himself, earned about 50,000 yuan a year, and was able to take care of the elderly and children, which really reassured him.

Wang Guochang said that in order to ensure the acquisition of high-quality broad beans, his purchase price is higher than that of other farmers. The news is like a spring breeze blowing all over Haizigou, many farmers have expanded the planting area of broad beans, and many farmers in the surrounding villages have also begun to join the ranks of planting broad beans. In order to facilitate farmers, Wang Guochang also set up acquisition points in Huzhu Tu Autonomous County and other places to serve farmers from planting, contract signing, pricing, and acquisition to safeguard their vital interests.

With the rapid development of the characteristic industry of "Golden Bean", Haizigou Township has also continuously expanded the planting scale of broad bean. In 2016, the planting area of broad bean in the township reached 687 hectares, accounting for 19% of the total planting area of the township, an increase of 9.5% over last year. The annual output reached 1300 tons, driving 26 peasant households, including 6 poor households, achieving sales income of 1.2 million yuan, and the broad bean marketing industry chain is basically perfect. The economic benefit of the "Golden Bean" industry has improved steadily.

Through his work in the soybean industry, Wang Guochang was named the 10th National Rural Rich Leader by the Central Committee of the Communist Youth League and the Ministry of Agriculture.

Talking about his plans for the next step, Wang Guochang said: we will continue to expand the planting area of broad bean, develop our own planting base, and let the original retail planting and retail sales of broad beans in Haizigou Township be transformed into professional and large-scale sales. At the same time, great efforts will be made to develop e-commerce to make Haizigou broad beans go further.
