After 38 years of ups and downs, his base has grown to the existing Qingyuan Ma chicken breeders 150000, with an annual production scale of about 15 million eggs, becoming a well-known "Qingyuan chicken king".
Rely on high-tech fine breeding
In the chilly March of spring, Qingyuan chickens ate healthily and lively in the modern chicken sheds at the foot of Huangtenxia Mountain-Fengxiang Ma Chicken breeding Base. In cooperation with South China Agricultural University, Qingyuan chicken breeding has realized automatic production, and high-standard breeder sheds are equipped with automatic constant temperature air conditioning, which realizes the automation of feeding and recovery of chicken manure, and improves the breeding efficiency and quarantine standards of Qingyuan chickens.
What is more amazing is that there is a container of imported probiotic nutrient solution outside each chicken house, which can be input into the feed of Qingyuan chicken at any time through automatic feeding equipment. "at present, I am the first to explore the innovative feeding of imported probiotic bacteria in the province. The taste and health indicators of Qingyuan chicken have made a breakthrough again. Amino acids and other indicators have been tested by the quality supervision department, and the data is very ideal. In the next step, I am going to send the samples to the provincial authorities for testing and strive to obtain relevant certification." According to Su Jinan, after several setbacks in the past 38 years, he gradually realized that he had to rely on science and technology and management to achieve fine farming.
It is reported that Fengxiang Ma chicken from seedling purification to rejuvenation are fed with special feed produced by the company and raised by probiotics. Probiotics are also made of corn bran and coconut bran to ensure the original ecology and greatly improve the meat quality and physique of Qingyuan chicken.

Su Jinan was born into a peasant family in Shajing, Dushu Village, Jiangkou, Qingyuan City. after graduating from high school in 1979, in order to help his family, he raised Qingyuan chickens with his father who had been ill for a long time. Starting from raising 12 chickens independently, he embarked on the road of starting a business. In 1981, Su Chi-nan came to a farm in Sanshan, Nanhai and began to raise chickens on a large scale. It was this opportunity that led him to meet Professor Bi of South China Agricultural University. Seeing the young man bent on the chicken farm, Professor Bi woke him up: "Qingyuan Chicken has been famous since ancient times. it is a precious asset left by our ancestors and is worth more than anything else. Why don't you go back to your hometown to raise Qingyuan Chicken?" This suddenly awakened the young Su Chi-nan, so in 1985, he returned to Qingyuan and began to raise Qingyuan chickens in the traditional free-range method.
In October 1999, Su Jinan set up Qingyuan Fengxiang Ma Chicken breeding Base, which signed contracts with more than 100 farmers, and the number of cooperative households soon reached more than 400. In 2005, Su Jinan invested a lot of money in formal cooperation with South China Agricultural University, and successfully developed the integrated technology of safe and high-quality ecological breeding of Qingyuan Ma chicken in 2012. this scientific research achievement won the 2012 Qingyuan Science and Technology Progress Award and the 2013 Guangdong Science and Technology Award.
