The Road to Wealth of vegetable Farmer Li Shijun in Tianshui, Gansu Province
With the rapid development of economy, a large number of rural workers leave their hometown and go out to work for development. However, in the vast rural areas, there is such a group of young people, they stick to their hometown, with their own diligence and wisdom, let the ideal of getting rich pour rich fruit in the yellow land. Li Shijun, a villager from Shenjiahe Village, Huuniu Town, Maiji District, is one of them.
It was chilly in spring, and Li Shijun had already begun to work in the fields.
"this year, with the help of state poverty alleviation loans, we plan to contract another 10 mu of land and build five new solar greenhouses. If all goes well, the net income will exceed 100000 yuan." Li Shijun told reporters with confidence.
In 2014, 34-year-old Li Shijun contracted 6 mu of land in the village, 5 mu to grow field watermelons and melons, and another mu to build two vegetable solar greenhouses, all of which were planted with tomatoes. In order to manage these vegetables well, he eats and lives in the field. However, due to the lack of technology, more manure was applied to the tomatoes, so that all the soon-to-mature tomatoes were burned to death, and there was no harvest in the vegetable greenhouse. Fortunately, the income of watermelons and melons in the field in that year was nearly 45000 yuan, except for costs and losses. More than 7000 yuan was also earned.
The entrepreneurial surplus in the first year on the yellow land strengthened his confidence to take root in his hometown, and the failure of growing vegetables for the first time made him understand the importance of technology. In 2015, Li Shijun built two new steel-framed solar greenhouses with tomatoes, melons and watermelons. In the meantime, he insisted on learning the knowledge of vegetable cultivation in books and on the Internet, and took the initiative to consult local vegetable farmers about greenhouse work techniques. Due to proper management, greenhouse planting has had a bumper harvest: tomatoes and melons have earned 30,000 yuan, and watermelons have been sold for nearly 30,000 yuan.
Li Shijun, who tasted the sweetness, had the courage to "make a fuss" on the yellow land. In 2016, Li Shijun used two greenhouses to grow seedlings in spring, spinach in autumn, tomatoes and other high-yield vegetables in the other two greenhouses, and watermelons and melons in the field. With the help of his family, after a year of hard work, his net income reached 62000 yuan that year. "starting a business on your doorstep can not only accompany your wife and children, but also take care of your parents, which is much better than working away from home." While working, Li Shijun said to the author, "at present, many policies of the state are tilted towards farmers, and there is absolutely nothing to lose from being a farmer." Why do you have to run outside to make money? as long as you use your brains and are willing to endure hardships, you can make a lot of money on your doorstep. "
