The online sale of "ecological native chicken" opens a new way to get rich.
Pingyang Village, Haochang Town, Ziyun Autonomous County is a kind of poor village, with many mountains, much soil, and lack of water. There is a woman named Xu Min in the village. From the beginning of raising pigs to raising ecological native chickens, she has found a good way for "Internet + ecological native chickens" to get rich.
On April 6, the reporter drove from the government of Haochang Town along the Panshan Highway to Pingyang Village. The road was dangerous all the way up the mountain. After driving to the mountain more than 1500 meters above sea level, Pingyang Village walked into Xu Min's family farm and opened a chicken house door. One ecological native chicken clattered happily, two chicken coops were close to the residential housing, and the other two chicken coops were set up on the top floor of the residential housing, and the hatchery was hatching chickens.
"the chicken house was originally built in a mountainous area of the village. last summer, a storm mixed with hail broke the chicken cottage. after losing more than 2000 chickens, I moved the chicken coop to the house." Xu Min said that she had run a small business before, but also went out to work, and the development of the aquaculture industry only began in the last five years.
Xu Min said that the first three years of the development of the breeding industry was to raise pigs. Because raising pigs needed better water resources, Pingyang Village was short of water resources. If it did not rain for half a month, it would be difficult for people to drink water, not to mention raising pigs on a large scale. Raising chickens requires less water than raising pigs, and is barely supplied through storage tanks and so on.
Xu Min feeds ecological native chickens, the breeds are local native chickens, and the chickens are fed on locally grown corn and wild vegetables, which grow more slowly than those fed on industrial feed. Chickens fed on industrial feed can be fenced in four months, while chickens fed on corn and wild vegetables take eight months.
"there is a process of groping in any industry, and so is raising chickens. Epidemic prevention is the key to success or failure." Xu Min said that when she summed up her experience while feeding, she usually bought some books related to chicken epidemic prevention, and her experience became richer and richer slowly.
Xu Min believes that nowadays, people have new requirements for the pursuit of quality of life, and it is a bit difficult for people living in cities to buy native chickens fed with pure grain. On the other hand, because they are located in remote mountainous areas, it is very inconvenient and expensive to buy industrial chicken feed; buy local corn as feed to raise chickens, and then go to the mountains to pick some wild vegetables to feed the chickens, so that the quality of the chickens is better.
In Xu Min's henhouse, the reporter noticed that the ecological native chicken she raised was too small, and she could not find a single chicken weighing four or five jin in the henhouse of thousands of mature chickens.
"the ecological native chicken does not grow up, and the average weight is between 3 jin and 3.5 jin." Xu Min said that although the weight of her chicken is small, it is of good quality and has no worries about selling. Last year, she sold more than 6000 chickens at a wholesale price of 15 to 18 yuan per catty and a retail price of 20 yuan per catty.
The round breeding chickens raised by Xu Min are selling chickens every day while going out to the fence while hatching young chickens. Like other people of the same age, she likes to hang on QQ, bubble forums, browse Weibo and play Wechat. She has her own sales column on Taobao and sales network, and uses the mobile phone platform to sell ecological native chickens online, thus setting up the road to prosperity of "Internet + ecological native chicken".
For the future, Xu Min plans to build a large ecological native chicken farm in the adjacent Sidazhai Township Niuchang Village, and is currently negotiating with the villagers of Niuchang Village to transfer two small hills to build a chicken farm. At the same time, Xu Min also plans to distribute his chicken seedlings to poor villagers for feeding and unified recycling and sales when they mature, so as to help poor villagers shake off poverty and become rich.
