After the Spring Festival in 2012, Wang Guihua, who has worked in Guangdong for many years, decided to stay in her hometown and start her own business. In the second half of 2012, pork prices rose, and Wang Guihua, who is bullish on the pork market, came up with the idea of raising pigs to get rich. Why did you choose to raise pigs? Wang Guihua's reason is very simple: growing up in the countryside, her family will raise several piglets every year. In her words, she has seen pigs since she was a child. After inspecting the market, she found that there are relatively few large-scale pig farms in Jingxi. In this way, Wang Guihua repaired the old house in her hometown, bought 100 piglets with the savings of 50,000 yuan saved by working for many years, and began to raise pigs to get rich. He raised 100 piglets as soon as he started his business, and Wang Guihua's decision was not recognized by his family at first. After all, how to raise pigs on such a large scale, how to manage, how to prevent and cure pig disease? Wang Guihua is a layman in these aspects.

In 2013, after seeing the benefits, Wang Guihua decided to expand her scale. She rented more than 4 mu of land near Tunpan Township and bought reserve sows to raise and breed. Wang Guihua said.
But Wang Guihua's pig business road is not plain sailing, here she has just expanded the scale of pig farms, on the other side pork prices began to fall all the way. In 2014, the price of pigs once fell to 4 yuan per jin. This year, her pig farm lost nearly 300000 yuan, and many small farmers in Jingxi were eliminated in this market fluctuation.
Wang Guihua was hit so hard at the beginning of her career that Wang Guihua was a little discouraged, but she never thought of giving up. "the decline in pig prices means that the next peak in pig prices is coming." "the lower pig prices fall, the more room for a rebound to rise," Wang said. " Sure enough, pig prices began to rise at the end of 2015 and reached 10 yuan per jin in 2016. This year let Wang Guihua make a lot of money. While she was happy, she had a new confusion. "Pig cycle" has a great impact on farmers, if we can not grasp this law, the risk of profit and loss is too great. Live pigs are like other commodities, when the supply of live pigs falls short of demand, the price is bound to go up. "there will also be a small price peak within a year," Wang Guihua said of her little "pig cycle."A pig needs to be raised for 5 to 6 months, and the fence will be filled in about 6 months before the price peak, just when the price is at its peak. Naturally, it sells well."
Today, Wang Guihua's pig farm has a small scale, with more than 500 adult pigs and 80 sows. In 2016, her pig farm had a net income of nearly 400000 yuan.
Lead the neighbors to get rich together
After seeing the benefits of pig farming, Wang Guihua led the surrounding villagers to join the ranks of pig farming and embarked on the road of common prosperity.
Sister Li of Tunpan Street is the first farmer led by Wang Guihua. As a fellow-townsman, Sister Li often goes to Wang Guihua's pig farm to chat with her. In small talk, Wang Guihua always talks about her experience of raising pigs and getting rich. Driven by Wang Guihua, 20 poor households in Tunpan Township have joined the ranks of pig farmers. "these farmers take piglets from me and pay them back on credit until the pigs are out of the pen, or when they have spare money on their hands." Wang Guihua said.
Seeing that more and more villagers have joined the ranks of pig farmers, Wang Guihua has a new idea-- to set up cooperatives, to develop together, to manage together, and to take the road of brand development. Wang Guihua said that after the examination and approval, she hopes to centralize the farmers in the township, unify the pig breed, unify the feed, unify the feeding, unify the brand.
"if you want to build a brand, the meat quality of pigs must be good," Wang Guihua told reporters. When she was a child, the pigs raised at home were all fed sweet potato vines and corn. Without adding feed, the meat quality was really very good, so she hoped to return to the original way of raising pigs to ensure the meat quality of pigs.
