In September 2006, the news from Hengshangang, Qinglong Village, Zhuxing Town, Liyang City, surprised the whole village: Guo Xiang, a college student at Jiangsu Vocational and Technical College of Agriculture and Forestry, was going back to his hometown to run a maggot chicken farm. Go back to the countryside to raise chickens and maggots? Many people in the village don't believe it. Eleven years later, Guo Xiang's farm is basically on the right track. He also organized and founded the "Liyang Yaji Mountain layer breeding Professional Cooperative", which adopted the model of "company + cooperative + peasant household" to lead farmers to increase their income scientifically.

Before graduating from college, he returned to the countryside to start a business.

In 2006, the internship day is coming, at this time Guo Xiang is very anxious, he wants to start a business, want to show his skills, but can not find the direction of breakthrough. Just when Guo Xiang had no choice but to suffer for his dream, an accidental experience showed him the direction.

By chance, Guo Xiang came to Changchun, Jilin Province, at a time when the triennial National Agricultural Expo is being held here. Of course, you can't miss such an opportunity for Guo Xiang of Xuenong. He watched it for three days in a row, and his impulse to start a business is getting stronger and stronger. "Why not go to the countryside and take a break in your hometown?" The idea stirred in his mind and could not be quieted down for a long time. Guo Xiang's idea is really not groundless. He majored in horticulture technology at Jiangsu Vocational and Technical College of Agriculture and Forestry. Under the training program of "four-stage" combination of work and learning and the teaching mode of "teaching, learning and doing", Guo Xiang not only improved the level of professional skills, but also learned a lot of entrepreneurial knowledge and practical experience. Through four years of professional study, practice and investigation, it is found that traditional agriculture is in urgent need of innovation.

He runs a tea farm at school, which sells more than 10,000 yuan in one season.

Guo Xiang said that choosing the entrepreneurial path of agriculture also benefited from his active participation in the college's production and training entrepreneurial society and contracted management with his classmates. At that time, there was an open space in the school, which was provided to students free of charge. Because tea is a special project of the school, Guo Xiang and his classmates planted tea on this piece of land. From tea cultivation, picking to sales, all are done independently by Guo Xiang and his classmates. They set up a booth to sell on the entrepreneurial street close to the school. At first, tea was not easy to sell, but later, as the picking technology became better and better, coupled with everyone's word-of-mouth promotion, tea could be sold for more than 10,000 yuan in one season.

The small mountain village where Guo Xiang was born is in the hilly and mountainous areas, and the traffic is blocked, but in Guo Xiang's eyes, these "backward conditions" are precisely the resources he needs to start a business. The original natural environment of his hometown coincides with the ecological agriculture he advocated. Guo Xiang has made up his mind to open a chicken farm and sell green eggs, relying on the original environment of his hometown.

Lead more than a hundred farmers to set up ecological breeding farms

Guo Xiang's laying hens are raised in strict accordance with green and organic food standards, so the feeding cost is relatively high, and the sales price is bound to be high. When he went out to sell eggs, the customer said that one of his green ecological eggs was almost equal to the price of one jin of eggs, which was too expensive. More and more eggs, to whom? Where is the customer base?

He turned his attention to his alma mater. The teachers of Jiangsu Vocational and Technical College of Agriculture and Forestry told him that he should first grasp the quality of the products, and at the same time, he should also find ways to publicize his own farm. The teacher also advised him to film the whole process of raising ecological chickens, which is easily accepted by customers and the market. This method worked precisely because the egg white was tender and the egg yolk was fragrant. Slowly, Guo Xiang's chicken farm became lively, and the famous customers came to buy eggs one after another.

In 2008, Guo Xiang organized and established the "Liyang Yajishan layer breeding Professional Cooperative", which led farmers to scientifically increase their income. Guo Xiang provided young chickens, technology, feed, and finally was responsible for recycling products to reduce the risk of farmers as much as possible. At present, more than 100 peasant households around the country have joined the cooperative.
